Still working my way through this engaging puzzle, but want to say before I forget is that Sleuth clued me into an additional technique for German whispers, starting at 7:20. I had to replay and plod through the reasoning a couple of times until I got it, but I think it may be worth it 🎉

Morning Sleuth, hope all was ok past few days? Nice puzzle this morning! 29:34 to solve on second attempt as I really struggled to break in the whisper lines.

one of my favorites. Tricky puzzle, made me think. 33 mins to solve

I loved it! What an amazing puzzle. Exactly what I like so thanks so much for sharing it with us :) I managed to colour the entire grid with 2 colours of pairs and the black dot disambiguated. My daughter is an Anna too so I definitely couldn't pass it up!

I FINALLY GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surprisingly tricky. My first go-through, I used colors and digit pairs, like you did. But I clearly got something wrong, because when I finally got down to box 9 to disambiguate everything, I got either 1-6 or 4-9 on the black kropki dot, and clearly neither of those work. That was about 35 minutes of work there. Reset the puzzle, this time just using placeholder digits and ready to swap at the end if I got them backwards. I remembered some of the tricks, and there was a lot less confusion mixing colors and digit combos, so I was able to get to the end a lot faster. My total time for both attempts was 46:35, solver number 320. And to the setter: Yes, I did have fun!

This one 100% needs to be solved by picking high vs low, and then possibly flipping at the end. If you don't like that 4 can mean either 4 or 6, then just use ABCD 5 FGHI for them.

not true, you don’t need to guess high vs low. The black dot gives you the constraint answer at the end of the puzzle

@@marcoemadzadeh8977 That's the technique. You guess low vs high ignoring black dot. Then at the end black dot tells you if you need to flip or not. It's way faster and easier, took me just 15mins. This kind of puzzle is quite common, as a lot of constraints (white dot, German whisper, Dutch Whisper, X, renban, nabner, no same with various chess moves, etc.) are symmetric for low/high swap. If you see puzzle without numbers in it, it very often wants to be solved this way.

I disagree that this is 100% needed. I managed to solve perfectly fine without picking one and flipping. I was able to colour the entire grid in 2 colours of pairs and the black dot disambiguated. I never had to guess one to be high or low first.
