Qiang is one of the best Calafs I have yet to hear. He ranks up there with Pavarotti, Corelli and Bjorling!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with you, I had the good fortune to hear him in this opera in Los Angeles in 2004 and I could not believe what I was listening to, his voice is beautiful but also very powerful, I thought I was listening to Corelli. I love this voice very much, a very unique instrument too bad he never became the huge star I thought he was going to be!! I also listened to him in Aida the following year I think, again, he was great!!
