Beautiful place. I think Anna has great taste. The colors and the way the Houses are decorated are really pretty and restful, yet elegant. I can understand her choice for more land for privacy and just the enjoyment of having a lot of space to walk around and relax, this makes sense given that she has a very public life. It is a good balance for her, I am sure. It is really nice of Anna to let us see her home, very inspiring. Jeff❤

The key to understanding this interiors and gardens is the narrative that Wintour has shared as well as these designers: Chekovian, meaning in the style and manner of Anton Checkov, the Russian playwright -whose settings have this mood of life in the countryside, in a remote and yet civilized country estate. Many of the antiques included are Baltic: painted Swedish antiques in cream and grey paint. The other elelments compound this idea: the simplicity of linen, simple window shades, seagrass. The gardens by Miranda Brooks are particularly renown for combining elements of clipped box with meadows -with civilized and the wild...its an idea expressed and it is intended to be discrete, unostentatious, and romantic in that way. Its a total vision.

The property is in a working class neighborhood who's residents now have to pay more taxes for sewers because she didn't like the smell of the water. She literally referred to us as "white trash". Her cheap ass should have bought property 15 minutes to the east, in the real Hamptons.

Very good series..Bravo..I reposted it..Winthour, as Lagerfeld realized that the Home, the Gardens could be used for Shoot Designs for chanel, Vogue and other fashion shoots..Very shrewd..also buying in Long island, gave it the Hampshire Vibe, took Guts and it shows Character..Did that too..Buy low, Renovate, Hold, Have Faith..Make it your own but share it to Inspire Others Somehow. Fixer Uppers in Blue collar neighborhoods can be Great and Fun to Do.
