Wow. Can't hardly believe you have not seen her epic cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water yet but very happy you got to it. Her singing can make people do odd things as you pointed out. When I first saw this performance from Sohyang - and it's the intro of Sohyang to me - I ended up watch this performance over and over, and sought out all the reactions on the web on this performance. When all is said and done, I spent 7 hours straight on this performance of hers that day and became a bonafide fan. This performance to date remains my favorite Sohyang stage, notwithstanding all her other extraordinary performances for the emotional punch it delivers. Look forward to your next reaction.

thank you Anna for reacting to this...this is the very first song that brought me to So Hyang..when it popped up in my timeline...since this is my all-time fav song and out of curiosity, i watched it...next thing i knew is that i am picking up my jaw on the floor!! i've watched a lot who did cover of this song...BUT THIS IS THE ONLY VERSION THAT HITS ME SO HARD...all of her songs actually did pierced me...i mean ALL.

This TV Show "Immortal Songs" has a subject at each episode. The singers have to choose their song related to the subject. Most of the time, the subject could be the legendary singer. Can any bilingual speakers compare the original English lyrics to the Korean for me? I’m curious about it cuz the lyrics are mostly very literal, except idioms like “down and out.” Obviously her performance carries the emotion because I got tears. It’s a testament to both Sohyang’s voice and Simon’s writing that this song can be performed in so many different ways and it will always make me weep
