The ANNAPRO stays on my Apple Vision Pro (AVP) 99% of the time and has gone a long way of making the AVP more comfortable to use. What is your favorite comfort mod for the AVP?

The price increased, do you think it's worth the increase for 1st generation owners?
@ReyG_HKSH3 ай бұрын
I noticed that it did increase. If added comfort is important then the increase could be worth it. If you are satisfied with the v1, then I would stick with that.

Do you like this better than the Globular Cluster?

@jazzer7899 Interesting that you ask. I’m currently testing out the Globular Cluster for a possible review. Stay tuned 😉

I wasn’t a fan of the first generation model. While it did relieve some of the pressure, the fact that it is essentially non-adjustable meant that it wouldn’t accommodate a variety of head shapes. The other issue I had, which probably will not change with the new version, is that it wouldn’t fit in my Apple case. I eventually found another one on Amazon that was listed as generic. The price was about $40. The nice thing about it was that, unlike the Annapro, this one swivels, so you could essentially move it from your forehead to the top of your head. It also has an adjusting knob for tightening. As an added benefit, the swivel design permitted the device to fit in the Apple case.

Fair point. The second gen does offer some adjustability but could still be a bit restrictive for some head shapes. It is also still a hassle if I want to pack this set-up into the Apple case since I need to remove it. Care to share the name of the strap you found worked for you?

It is a bit more comfortable than v.1 so you should be satisfied. Thanks for watching! 🙏

It would be cool if they could split the battery into 2 so that you could remove half and keep the Vision Pro powered so you could hot swap the batteries. You would just need 3 “half” batteries.
@ReyG_HKSH3 ай бұрын
That would be cool to have an auxiliary battery built into the back strap for hot swapping. Let’s see if ANNAPRO delivers. 🤞

Thanks for the review, I ended up not picking up the first one so I think I'll get this one. When is the battery part coming out?
@ReyG_HKSH3 ай бұрын
You’re welcome! The backstrap with battery was part of the concept for ANNAPRO’s solution. AFAIK, there is no ETA for the backstrap. Let’s hope it’s sooner than later.

I just got my AVP and also picked up an Annapro A2. While the Annapro does take pressure off the face, it transfers nearly all of it to my forehead in about a 1.5 inch wide strip. This leaves my forehead numb from the pressure and uncomfortable. Have you seen anything or modification of the A2 that would distribute the weight over a larger area. My thinking goes as follows. If I have a 5 pound object sitting on top of a 1 inch cube, the pressure at the bottom of the 1 inch cube is 5 pounds per square inch. But if I have the same 5 pound object is sitting on top of a 5 inch cube (25 square inches), then the pressure is 5 pounds divided by 25 square inches or only 0.2 pounds per square inch.

You should try a slimmer cushion

I’ve ordered the v2. I love my v1 strap, but I do find the Optic ID often does not work with it on. The team said this v2 will help with that. Fingers crossed.
@ReyG_HKSH3 ай бұрын
I’ve never had an issue with Optic ID not working with the v1. Does the AVP warn you to move the AVP slightly to the left,right,up,or down? Could just be some adjustment to placement of the AVP.
@James-lw3gi3 ай бұрын
@@ReyG_HKSH just different head sizes is all. The annapro doesn’t allow for a lot of movement to fit all people. If I squish the headset closer to my head it works. But you can’t adjust the annapro to allow that. V2 will hopefully work 😄

@ It sure did! I was literally using it 5 min ago. The new strap is a tad more comfortable, not that I found the other one bad. More importantly, the optic recognition now works great 😄
