As this year's alternative of the Annapurna Circuit Trek, The Annapurna Base Camp trek. Also known as Annapurna Sanctuary trek. Usually and mostly done by Nepali. So facilities along the way are not quite the same as the Circuit trek. But it takes you to one of the most beautiful places in the world and the only place in the world where you get a 360º view with mountains ranging from +6000 meters to over 8000 meters.

Ich komme am 21. Oktober 23 nach Nepal. Ich freue mich schon. Ich war zwar schon in Tibet, aber nich nie in Nepal. Ich bin dann ja endlich mal im Himalaya Gebirge. Vielleicht kann ich ja mit meinen 82 Jahren noch einen Hubschrauberflug um den Mount Everest machen.

Hi, I think a beginner can do the trek IF well prepared. The ABC trek is most challenging because of the many stairs. We’ve seen many people reaching ABC and then not being able to do the descent. The route and altitude (max 4100) is ideal for a first Himalaya experience. But take your time and be sure to practice in advance. After this the EBC (Everest basecamp) is also recommended. But if you go, take the route over de Cho La Pass. (Less people and more beautiful...) Enjoy !!
