Awww Rachel, these are such nice and heartly words! Thank you so much! I will always try to stay safe in the first place and do my best not to die up there 😉. I think life will find a way for me to continue following my passion since I am doing it from the bottom of my heart. Therefore it will automatically turn out in a good way. It was always like that and I am certain it will be that way again after I come back from Everest! I will keep exploring and share it with all of you one way or the other! ✌🏾

It was so awesome to hear from you. Glad you were able to accomplish your goals at Annapurna 1! It is a beautiful mountain. That was some crevasse. Did you have an ice screw with you? The weather looked pretty perfect up there. The views are absolutely stunning. Those clouds are tricky, you can't always see your goal, not even to the next camp. Sounds like you learned a lot this round. Stay safe & keep on climbing!

Thank you wanrapea, Annapurna is indeed beautiful but like a rose 🌹 with serious thorns. You have to be careful at all times. I was very lucky with the crevasse. My ice screws were in basecamp. I was still attached to the rope and could ram my crampons into the wall and attach my jumar to the rope after I fell. A sherpa tossed a rope at me and helped me with the pull up, out of the crevasse. The clouds luckily opened up for a short period. But everyday after 2pm we had quite some snowfall. I feel blessed to experience this mountain!

Thank you buddy! Yes these mountains are sometimes super scary! But that is part of the climb! They can be dangerous and harmful and we need to navigate through these dangers!

Solid Stuff Norrdine. Tough montain. Stay safe on the next one. Must have been a massive realization with the crevasse. I remember making a stupid mistake when crossing a knife edge ridge line, saved by the line.

Hey buddy! I think we can be very thankful if we are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them, they are eye openers and make us better climbers or whatever we are doing. I am always thankful if I am allowed to make non fatal mistakes. They are a huge learning.

Yes, I need to be more careful, the hours before I was already demanding myself not to rely on the rops so much but to rely more on my climbing skills. I did not listen and promt it happened! 🤔

can you tell me about the regulations on climbing a mountain like Annapurna or any other mountain.. do the guides allow you to go un guided ? is there a risk of sabotage? can any one just camp at base camp and then stat climbing up any mountain?
