Wow! Stunning performance. Amazing to think she had had knee surgery only weeks before. Her artistry is astonishing compared to modern skating. She is really an ice dancer with jumps! The audiences loved her. Listen to all the screams and cheering. She was "the premier superstar" beautiful skating, very unique talent. Bet she had a ton of haters. Agree heartily. There are moments in her skating where music and movement are in the most perfect fusion in a way that you seldom see outside of dance. Those are moments to be treasured. She would have been a brilliant ballerina. Ice skating was not the best milieu for her talent unfortunately.

The switch from legato to petit allegro style movement captures the music so beautifully and adds personality and dimension to her skating. The butterfly into a catch-foot-donut-combination spin, is a beautiful and inventive visual accent on a traditional move, and conveys the buoyancy of music and character very well.

The dance ability of this girl is so, so strong---astounding! So light, effortless airy & so majestically elegant. She missed her calling as a ballerina. Wrong decision to put her in skating. Her talent would've been greatly served, appreciated, nurtured & understood in the ballet or dance world. Skating people don't appreciate the purpose of artistry which is expression, communication. Making movement say something or mean something. Not saying she isn't a great athlete/skater.

I think they actually said she’s grown two inches since the Olympics, so that back then she was 5’2 and looked so much taller on the ice even then.

Both. The first part is a paquita variation. The second part is the Bridesmaids Variation. Both are Minkus.

Paquita (2 variations), La Bayadere (Nikita, before her death on the wedding), Don Quixote (not kitri, her friend), Le corsaire (pdd coda)

This music and choreography showed off her abilities so much more than her Olympic long program. I wish she had developed this into a regulation freeskate a year earlier, then I might not be so salty about her win in Lillehammer, lol.

The drinking started as a pro with Viktor & Galina her guardian who took her to bars, parties & neglected furthering her education. She was also controlled by Wm. Morris. She hung out with Viktor Petrenko, his friends & his wife. While on tours and she drank with adults. This was the pro skating environment. Really old adults. Oksana wasn't going to school she was working. She wasn't around people her age because she was made a pro. Its called corrupting of a minor. Viktor Petrenko, & his wife Nina are both alcoholics when he met Oksana so was his brother Vladamir. Oksana was put under Viktor's , mother-in-law, his agents & managers they stole most of her money. They beat her, some of his friends raped her she was forced to work really hard. They took her passport. Does this satisfy you? What if it happens to your daughter or sister? Oksana survived her ordeal. Could you?

Oksana was way overrated! She two-footed at least two jumps in this problem and others had sloppy landings.

Most time she refused to spin or jump. She wanted to ballet on ice. Her patterns got worsen later on. Her prime was 1994 Olympic Gold. Thats about it.

@@OctPSfever Yes, absolutely. I agree with you 100%. She was considered so special and superior back then, even by those who knew figure skating. She had weak extensions and double footed so many jumps. It was crazy how they considered her to be so great when she was mediocre in a lot of ways. She moved to the music in her long program very well - I can't deny the artistry in that, but it didn't make up for her weak technical side. Just my opinion. I've been screamed at for this before and likely it will happen again.

Так Оксана выглядила в16 лет ,такое ощущение что ей 25 лет ,вот поэтому новерно она от счастливой жизни там в США запила ( что для еврейри не СВОЙСТВЕННО,а вот для того где она выросла очень даже ,как и дальнейшее ее отношение ко всем кто ей помог она облила грязью).Фигуристка талантливая в хореографии ,но не технически ,а человек 👎
