@ColdFlames Sleep So survival means that they're good? I know plenty of wretched old people. The way I see it, old people aren't risk takers. Besides, if one were to fall in love with your looks, then what would be the point?
@phoebec28395 жыл бұрын
@ColdFlames Sleep I thought you meant that all old people are good people because they supposedly lived their life to their fullest. Today I saw an old lady who looked like she was 80 years old and she bought a pack of cigarettes and threw the wrapping of the pack on the ground and it pissed me off because I was taught to respect old people but I guess age doesn't matter after all. I get what you're saying but I believe that your goals should be more valuable than your life. Just because you're alive doesn't mean that you're "living". A life where all you're doing is staying alive would not be worth living to me

Henry VIII isn't famous for being a great king, leading England into great wealth and prosperity. He is known for his treatment of his wives. In particularly, Anne Boleyn, who did give him an heir. Elizabeth I who led England into it's golden years and prosperity. In all honesty, he was unsuccessful as a king. He reigned through his personal life and desires. There is more to the Tudors than history is telling us.

@@miniebrahma397+ I'm not saying that Jane Seymour *wasn't* kind, but she did still become queen over a dead woman's grave, and disgraced her name at every chance after her death. At least Anne acknowledged that she was not a nice person, and I'm not sure that Anne would still agree to become his queen if she knew that Henry had Catherine executed instead of merely divorced. Jane may bave been generally compassionate, but like the rest of her family, she was manipulative and clever. Much like Anne, except that she knew how to put up a pretence. I believe the distraction was the executioner’s idea. Most historians believe that because Henry choose a skilled executioner to preform the beheading was a sign of mercy... it would quick and not butcher the execution like others. Anne was not innocent at all. She was horrible to Mary and Catherine and schemed with Henry VIII to keep them apart, even when she became the Queen of England. She wanted them dead so badly that she even cheered when she heard about Catherine’s death, since she was her rival of course. Plus, she was very manipulative, cunning, ambitious, and greedy too. Although I will say that despite her being cunning and influential, she really did care about certain people who was close to her and she also showed some sympathy towards her sister when she banished her from court, sending plenty of money and a chalice for her and her husband so they can live. She just had to put up a facade in front of her father.

The women of this era never left their hair loose and uncovered like this. Adult women wore hoods that completely covered the hair, except for the daring "French" hood which exposed a little of the hairline in the front. Only a very young girl would be out in public with her hair hanging loose like that. I get that costume designers do not cover the hair as would be historically accurate because it isn't as attractive, but you would never see a respectable woman of any class with her hair uncovered like shown here.
@jhoshuedeabreu93273 жыл бұрын
Well said!! All respectable women at the time in England wore the english hood which resembles a gable (reason why Anne Boleyn somewhat disliked it) however Anne popularized in court the daring French hood that showed a "shocking" amount of hair.
