This is definitely a great part of the story that deals with serious issues. It was nice to see Anne and Marcy talking together again in the story. Anne was definitely distressed over the whole situation with the evil calamity trio, coupled with the burden of being in Amphibia on a mission to save it, rather than be there just to see her Amphibia family and friends. Not to mention how she feels inadequate with her calamity powers not fully being awakened. Anne's not even convinced that she, Sasha, and Marcy can reactivate their calamity powers in 3 months' time to stop the evil calamity trio. Plus, Anne is really emphasizing how she doesn't want Sasha, Marcy, herself, or anyone else to die. This leads to Anne telling Marcy that she doesn't believe that she's the actual Anne Savisa Boonchuy. Seeing the citizens of Wartwood cheering Anne on in the previous part probably brought back those doubts. Anne was right about having to deal with an existential crisis later on in life. Even so, just like Sasha before, Marcy still believes that Anne is the original Anne, and she explained why in her own Marcy Wu way. Marcy does a good job trying to use logic to try to convince Anne that she really is Anne, even bringing up the Ship of Theseus paradox. Marcy even talks about things beyond logic, such as souls, and the possibility that Anne is just in a different body, as well as the deep bond that the calamity trio have with each other. The guardian deity does need to clear this up later, but even then Anne is still Anne to both Sasha and Marcy. It really is nice to see Anne get comfort from Marcy, the person that she's had the longest friendship with. Anne needed to cry on Marcy's shoulder. Nice to see what Sasha was up to in the meantime, trying bog grog, taking pictures of Hop Pop and Sylvia together, and just hanging out with Maddie, who's with her younger sisters and father. Maddie seems to be setting up a reunion with Olivia and Yunan, while confirming that they got married. This will definitely be a good reunion for Marcy. I am a bit surprised that Olivia in this story was working on making a new moon to replace the destroyed moon. Sasha and Maddie had a nice interation with each other. It was also nice to see Anne give Marcy a stuffed toy that resembled Joe Sparrow, followed up by Marcy giving Anne kisses to the cheek. Anne and Marcy moments of levity were needed after all the seriousness in this part of the story.

(Also, I knew the idea of the original Anne's soul being inside the copy's body would be validated one way or another. Headcanon or no headcanon) ⬇️ In Maddie's case, who knows how long her eye injury will last as a secret while she continues to keep it from her dad and sisters? I doubt she'll be able to hide it any longer, even if it may cause her family to panic for her well-being.
