I'm not happy about her writing about all these pet deaths...why would she write this? I didn't care for all the chapters centered on the mean Aunt. I wonder why she never developed the characters within the family. There is so little integration between the husband and Anne.

I get how you feel; some of the things that happen to her are really sad and frustrating like dogs dying or feeling disconnected from your husband because he is so emotionally exhausted from his job, but I think that just adds more realism and heart to the story. I think there is integration between the family, especially Anne and Gilbert, by the end of the book! 😌 But everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

I’m sorry, I didn’t know there were ads. KZbin controls that, not me, although if there is a way for me to control it I’d be happy to know what it is (my videos aren’t monetized). I’m sure that must be annoying when you just want to listen to a book.
