Tom created a great movie character version of Lestat. But I’ve been watching Sam Reid’s version of Lestat on the interview with the vampire TV series and you get a better idea of what Lestat is really supposed to be. Very different from Cruise.

I never thought there was any sexual tension in the movie. I felt like the other vampires were drawn to Louie because of his humanity. Although he was a vampire he maintained as much of his humanity and caring nature as he could. I think Lestat was lonely and needed a friend, that’s why he turned Louie.

@@jordynturner4244 As a child at the time watching the movie that was not my interpretation. I’m glad they didn’t add any outright sexual element to the movie. Too many movies add blatant sex when it’s not needed. It’s ok to allude to sex instead of having kissing and sex scene. Some things don’t need to be so obvious.

Sorry but I hated him too. Maybe I read all her books too many times.Not a sensual performance at all. Like all Tom Cruise movies he's just Tom Cruise in a different costume. and call it acting. BRAD Pitt & antonio Bandaras. had one powefukki sensual scene.. The TV adaptation is excellent. Sam Reid plays a great Lastat he has the knowledge and intelligence one woulld expect for a 160 y,o. vampire
