I really do like the second page best. By comparing the two I can see that the changes were more pleasing to me even though I liked the first page. By laying them side by side I really understood what you were saying about the flow of the page. Thank you for the tutorial. I love the creative way you teach. You have a wonderful gift, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Randy. I had hoped by sharing the two like this that it would be a good teachable moment, so I'm happy you felt that it was. Your comment really meant a lot to me this morning, as I've been feeling a bit of self-doubt lately. It happens from time to time, and all it takes it a nice comment like yours to get me going again, so thank you very much.

Hi Annette. First, glad you are feeling better! Since I am not on Facebook, I really miss your weekly planner pages, so this was my lucky day--I got to see 2 pages😊 Your remake page was much better! I like symmetry, so this was more appealing to me. Your week 26 page was perfect. The bland photo color matched your bland mood while sick😢 Being a retired nurse, I loved the Florence stamp with the red cross emblem. Well done!!

Thanks so much Marie. Feeling all better now! I'm glad you agree on the changes to Week 25. I feel so much better about it now too. Sounds like you NEED that Florence stamp set. It's pretty great!

I prefer the new week 25, too. Seeing the old and revised pages side-by-side really gives food for thought. I often don’t like my pages but I do feel I’m learning so much from you and I can feel my confidence growing. I really love your week 26. The colours work really well with the black and white photos. I have your Harmonious Hodgepodge papers but it’s soooo difficult to cut them up to use them! ❤️

That's so nice to hear Pauline. Thank you. I'm delighted you are learning and your confidence is growing. That's music to my ears! I hear that a lot about Harmonious Hodgepodge, which is a huge compliment. Sounds like you need a second pack of it. One to cut and one to hoard. 😂

Thanks Carleen. When that collection first came out (with the nurse) I thought I would never use it because I never get sick, or go to the doctor, or been in the hospital. Haha! Joke was on me, huh?! I'm glad you liked the re-do. I do too!

I really like week 26's layout. It may be simple, but I will use it in my journal. I didn't think anything was wrong with your page from last week. Once you pointed out things, I saw what you didn't like. I don't think you needed to re-do it, but I'm glad you shared how you fixed it. I always learn something from your videos. I'm glad you're feeling better.

Hi Jodie and thank you! I'm always happy to share the good and not-so-good in my pages. I feel like we can all learn a little something from that. And I'm happy to say I'm back to my "normal" self and no more yucky cold. thanks!

Hello Annette…….truly you are my “sister” in planner layouts and design……Lol 😂. I totally understood your thought process…..because when I look at my pages…..I have to LOVE them. I will stare at them for days…..and then make it work for me. No slapping pictures and things down…..then moving on. It’s just my process. It drives my friends crazy! I did love both your layouts though…….lol……and thank you for sharing! Glad you are on the mend!

Well, hey there sister! LOL. We have to like what we do and I'm a bit of a perfectionist at times, so there's no choice but to make it the best I can. So I'm happy to hear you relate! Thanks for watching.

Thanks Carole, as of today I can say I'm 100% back to my "normal" self. Feeling good and back at life! I hope you don't get that Summer cold. It's funny, I rarely get sick, but it always seems to be in the beginning of Summer if I do.

Thanks for the comparison for last week’s page. When I don’t like a page I’ve done, sometimes I don’t know why. This gave me some ideas and things to consider when evaluating my layout. As always, thanks for sharing your knowledge so generously. Speedy recovery!

Thanks so much Rebecca. I'm glad you enjoyed the comparison and reasoning behind the changes to Week 25. Sometimes we don't know why, we just have a feeling something isn't right. I agree. I do feel the best way I find to deal with it is to hop onto Pinterest and search planner pages and see what jumps out to my eye as pretty and pleasing, and ask myself why? What is it about this that I love? It then comes to you and helps you look at your page differently, or even start into a new page with a fresh perspective. Feeling much better now, thank you for your well wishes.

That's awesome Jacquie. I had hoped it was a good teaching moment. I'm pleased now, and quite honestly I am surprised I've only re-done a layout once in all these years. There've been plenty I've done where I wasn't super happy, but I felt like this one could lend well to sharing with others, so I'm glad you found that helpful.

Love this week’s page, though not that you were sick! Going with B&W photos worked so well! I definitely prefer your redo page…I often struggle with tilted photos, though the grouping of three at the bottom didn’t bother me [I think because the straight photo grounded the two that touched]. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

While at first look, I thought the first week 25 was fine, but just fine. I really like your new version of week 25. After comparing the two, I found the light colored mats on the pictures of the first week 25 to be distracting. They seemed to jump out at me. And after you pointing it out, the page did seem top heavy. The redo page is more harmonious and flows smoothly. It is very enjoyable to look at and doesn’t have that scattered feeling. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and work process, Annette. I learn so much from watching your videos.

Good to hear you are feeling better 🎉 love the page and also love the improvements on your week 25. So much more balanced. Love how you always seem to find a matching cardstock with the design paper. Is there a possibility to release matching cardstock with the design paper packs? I would be a huge fan 🤗😅
@AnnetteGreen4 ай бұрын
Hi Maja, thanks so much. I think you'll be happy to see my upcoming paper collection will have coordinating "solids" in the pack that match the pattern images nicely. The "solids" will have a bit of texture to them, so it won't be boring and flat colored. I hope that appeals to you.

Just wondering...why the tape runner? It would stick with liquid glue wouldn't it? Great page...sorry you were sick. Hope you are better now!
@AnnetteGreen4 ай бұрын
Thanks Robin. Definitely much better now. On large pieces, tape runner covers much more service area and the tape runner I use is ultra permanent. The glue is simply there for those outer edges and to help me slide things into position. This is just how I like to do it. Adhesive types are a personal choice. What works for you best is what you should use. Thanks for watching and Happy 4th!

I never would have noticed the concerns you had with your first page but as you make mention of them, I see what you mean. Did you know that if you add whiskey to your hot water and honey it can do wonders for a bad cold (sometimes you need more than one - just sayin). Hope you feel better each day Annette. Thanks for the great video while you are under the weather. Happy July 4th.
@AnnetteGreen4 ай бұрын
Hi Celine! Now why didn't I think of that. Would that be considered a "hot totty?" Either way, I think I'll try that next time I get a cold. Any excuse to incorporate whiskey into my life! I'm happy to hear you didn't think anything was wrong with the first layout, but then say what I meant in remaking it. That's a good teachable moment there!
