I forgot who did it, but someone swatched the Break The Rules palette next to the Plain Jane palette and most of them were exact dupes. I’m thinking with the extra single ACI shades, they all would of had exact dupes. I was thinking to myself that they probably use the same lab for those special shades. Does not take away from how amazing they are at all, just an observation. I love the setup of the Adept ones.

That sounds more like private labeling to me. Which is disappointing because you’ll run into a lot of duping, like you said. I like eyeshadow but I don’t want 10 of the same shade. Edit just FYI the It’s Bel palettes are private label. The owner said that’s just until they make a little more money to make their own. Which is how many indies start. It’s nice that she said so.

Love this I instantly noticed the alien shimmers to its bel and adept! There are many many that have the same now... that’s why I’ve became picky at choosing from brands because I know I’ll dupe and dupe over and over with that shimmer formula! Overall both looks are amazing and I’m glad to have the it’s bel palette for sure!

Another shade that is very very similar to Sphinx in the lore palette and the itsbel shade is adept aci15. they feel and Look the exact same

The lore palette kind of reminded me of the through my eyes from colourpop (smaller though) but then the shimmers especially that pinky gold definitely reminded me of the itsbel. I've been wanting to try this brand but like seeing legit people try them first

I have heard from sources on Reddit that adept is making these palettes for them. They had the formula about 2 years ago and private labeled it this year during Covid when smaller companies were struggling. By adept I mean adept cosmetics. They just put them in tiny pans to reduce the cost

The red in the Serendipity palette is probably the worst eyeshadow I’ve ever used. It’s impossible! I bought this palette quite a while ago, used it once, and put it in a drawer. The red ruined my look and I ended up taking off my makeup, which I never do. Guess it’s time to get the palette back out and try again... without the red!

Both of these Palettes are STUNNING 😍 I own all of their older Palettes and I tell you they are nothing like these! They all have pressed glitter in them. I just got both of these palettes and they surprised me sooo much! They've quickly become 2 of my favorite palettes. The colors are amazing and so grungy-beautiful. The mattes are pigmented and blend like a dream. There are multichromes and duochromes. I just have so much fun using them. I also tagged you, Angelica, Amy Loves Makeup, and Milly @ Badtothebrow on their new palettes too. I would love to see more reviews of this brand. I do agree with that red shade. I am looking for a beautiful ruby slippers type of red shimmer and sadly this is not that. But I still can work with it. I did just order their Strawberry Shortcake palette and it looks like there is a much nicer red shimmer in that one.

Ohh that is so weird with the Its Bel palette. I have that one on the way and I have these 2 Alien Cosmetics palettes. That Alien Cosmetics has that Multichrome though and really nice mattes. I still think it's worth it. And I've been going through those dupe shades so quickly already because I love the way they look. I wonder if having the extra dupes will come in handy when I reach pan. I usually don't ever think I will reach pan but I've been dipping into both of those lime green shimmery ones so much, I just might. Very odd though. They must outsource.

I really didn’t like the serendipity palette so I’ve been really confused why everyone is hyping it up lately. It was one of the worst palettes I’ve tried in awhile and that red shade was one of my big issues. I do feel like both brands are private label, which I don't consider a bad thing, but when you see other brands selling similar shadows for $100+ palette, which are prob private label as well, it gets shady af. I did order its bel palette and the serendipity pal not too long ago and I cannot wait to play with them.

Neither Its Bel or Alien/unearthly cosmetics claim to hand press shadows. Alien/Unearthly cosmetics have even showed videos of their palettes being boxed up at a factory. Adept Cosmetics also has the exact same shimmers (which is one reason I refuse to pay their high prices). A lot of Indie companies start out buying shadows from other companies and just creating the color story and art work for their palettes. Some are honest about it some aren't..

I have lost all interest in other channels except yours , Angie, Bailey and sometimes BeautBean Idk 🤷‍♀️ I’m just not enjoying content from certain people anymore their good channels by good people, but their looks are getting extremely predictable same thing over and over I’m over wings with every single look doing the same thing with really only slightly different colours. You , Angie and Bailey you never know what we are gonna see till it’s done you love to play with your makeup it’s seems like you’re still having fun of course there’s days where you feel like it’s a job because it is a job but we the viewer don’t see that and wouldn’t know. But your honest and say I’m not feeling really inspired today and that’s okay at least I wouldn’t have known if you didn’t get honest and say I’m kinda tired and worried about Churro or just not feeling 100% , you turn your camera on and pump out such great videos all the time 🤷‍♀️ I’m just not feeling it with the other people as much so the last at least month it’s only three sometimes four ppl I watch where as before I had a solid ten I absolutely never missed an upload from. Now who knows I could just be in a funk but I don’t get the same enjoyment anymore from other channels so when you upload I’m all excited and wait till the house is quiet so I don’t get bugged , thanx for still being the exact same person I watched when you shared Churros litter room all the way till now with all P.R and how much you’ve grown relatively shortly in time. You’re the one who gave me the confidence to wear eyeshadow because hooded eyes suck and small hooded eyes suck even more especially when gravity is winning the battle with age lol.

I think everyone can agree those shadows are dupes. It's more than likely the manufacturer lets the makeup company pick out shades that are made already, from a bunch of shades just sitting around. Cuts down costs completely, and gives small indie brands a place to start. The palette got our attention. Granted, once the shades were swatched, only 2-3 of them were something actually interesting, and not the same crap over and over, clearly missing any imagination. You made your look exciting and special, but that's your super power heh.

How would you compare the formulas of alien shimmers to the expel palette? The alien shimmer swatches seem more opaque on camera, but is it the same in person?

The similarities are probably because both brands are private label stuff so they just pick the shades and put them in a palette. they didnt create the formula It's Bel definitely doesn't make their own or anything

A(without hard evidence)Instagramer took the story and ran with it after a follower of hers found pics of the companion pallette on someone's web page. There's been several scammers stealing images of pallettes and color stories from small indies brands. This Instagramer automatically didn't think ,"hey maybe copacetic had been the one who was robbed of her creativity". It got extremely ugly and legal action was called into place. There's gotta be some sort of trademarking/rights that these indies companies have to look into for protection 🤔

I am thinking of making the same comparison on my personal time too! I'm just waiting for both the Break the Rules palette and new all shimmer/duochrome palette from ALIEN called "All I Ever Wanted"! And I wanted to compare them both because some of swatches look so similar. I'm thinking the red shimmers in both palettes are the same and well--the shades from Lore that are in the palette. You literally did the comparison I wanted to make😂 my curiosity got even worse! i mean it won't be a surprise if they use the same manufacturer or formula. You can do that too if you ever decide to get/or have the All I Ever Wanted palette sent to you so that people would know if it's a good buy based off the shimmers they want. They might just wanna get either that or the Break the Rules 😄
