I'm also Annie and she's not singing it higher, but it does sound higher cause its all in her head voice. And she does need to open up a little more

Okay, first of all, everyone dies the play differently. Just because you are doing it in a different octive doesn't mean this is wrong. You are clearly very particular and that's fine, but you don't have to trash other scenes because they did something differently.

This is a really bad scene. Annie has to cheat toward the audience ALOT more. She is also singing Maybe a whole octive higher than it is written in the Annie jr. script. I am currently playing Annie, so I know all the lines and songs.
