This simply moves me to tears! And look at her visual projection; she radiates inspiration! All piano students should learn from this how to sit and where mainly to direct the eyes, which is towards the strings where the tone production happens, not exclusively on the keys, which makes you close up, and never, never theatrically heavenwards!

Annie Fischer was one of the most important musicians of the 20th century. Her freedom of thinking and acting must have been a strict provocation to the communist regime and russian occupation she had to deal with as she chosed to live in her country and not to go abroad . She had not very good conditions to do these recordings. Svatoslav Richter, admired her.... Its rare to find people who are so much searching the truth in music.the essential and the beauty.

She had an enormous technique but always took risks - the most amazing spontaneity, the most amazing variety of tone colours. And what a melodic line. She is revered by almost all the great pianists and rightly so.

You are absolutely right! And for pianists it is especially difficult to keep listening because the tone production happens quite far away from us - we fall easily into the trap of listening to what we feel, not to what we actually hear.

I'm really impressed how Marta Argerich seems like to her. Incredible! The movement of her body during her performance reminds me of Martha's way of playing.

@helgeevju I guess tha't's because she is LISTENING, something most students don't do! All my teachers insist that it is the EAR what guides the playing, never the eye...
