Jesus, I wonder if this is what I have. Suddenly, my periods have been irregular and I get heavy bleeding for a couple days like a murder scene. I never had this before and the last period I had there was a pain on my left side that took me down. I could not get out of bed. I couldn’t even stand up straight. It felt like something had burst inside me, accompanied by a fever for a couple days, but it was definitely down towards the pelvic region where my ovaries are. It’s gnarly. And of course I didn’t go to the emergency room. I just kept thinking vulnerable and around some male ER doctor.

PCoS in the house! Yep the first [and only thing really] they’ll do is put you on birth control and if you can’t tolerate it as I can’t , you’re screwed. I’m interested in the red light belt thank you for sharing. I sleep with a heating pad now. Wish there was more research into PCOS and all women’s reproductive health. Castor oil too huh?

@@HH-gv8mxcysts bursting is so painful , the worst time I was just writhing and moaning in pain for 14 hrs straight before I had to go to the er. Please make an appt with your own OBGYN to get it checked out. And btw when you’re in the hospital you can request females only and also they always have a chaperone now , male practioners cannot be alone with female patients anymore ; think the same is true with female / male as well. But don’t be afraid to set and enforce your boundaries to increase your comfort. Can’t be coy or shy within the healthcare these days. You have to be your own advocate. take care of yourself and demand the care you need. ❤

@@clevermissfox thank you for your message. Although I can see that in my message, it wasn’t totally clear as I was using speak to text. But you got it. And I appreciate your response. You are right. It’s like I need a sister or a mother to tell me what I need to do. Something bad did happen because I’ve never laid in bed for that long or for that many days being in pain. And I couldn’t stand up straight. I am making an appointment now.

I was super healthy and had tons of energy at 37. The exhaust didn’t hit me until about a year ago and I’m 10 years older than you. But I think it had a lot to do with Covid. I never was the same after that. I’ve never been able to sit in a chair and just instantly fall asleep. But some days I just can’t move. I’m so exhausted. I used to get B12 shots in my arm that helped a lot.

I feel for you, Britt!!❤ Endometriosis IS THE WORST!! It has been a horrible, crippling nightmare for me since I first got my period when I was 13. I found out that I had stage 4 endometriosis when I was 20 years old and told that I likely wouldn't be able to have any children, especially if I waited until my mid 20's, early 30's. I'm 34 years old, and I am a single Mom/Dad to a 6 year old boy. After many years of extreme pain and suffering, I am finally scheduled to have a hysterectomy on May 9th!! I'm terrified to have it done, but I don't want to suffer every month anymore. I feel like I'm 50 years old. The chronic fatigue that comes with endometriosis is f*cking brutal 😩 I really hope that having the hysterectomy surgery helps to improve my quality of life! 🤞🙏 I look forward to watching you ladies every week!! My absolute FAVORITE podcast 😍🥰

My god that sounds like what I might have. I actually went years without getting a period in my 30s. No one could figure it out. They sent me to an endocrinologist and my gynecologist said that I was running low on.Progesterone. Under a lot of stress for a few years. Once my period resumed in my 40s when I did bleed, it was heavy, and the cramps were worse than I ever had even when I was a teenager. And the last period I had which was two weeks after the one that I just had had me doubled over in pain. There was something on the left side near my ovary that hurts so bad it felt like it burst inside me. I could not walk.

When I turned 40, I had an ablation done of my uterus & had my tubes removed (after convincing them that I still really did not want to have kids). The tubes were a tough decision (tie em, burn em or remove em). My niece (4 years younger than me) had hers first & she has 3 now grown children. Her husband had a vascetomy so that part was done so no worries about tubes. But they kept trying to talk her out of it because of children. She told the doctor that she & her husband discussed it at length & they are done with kids so what's the problem. Doc asks what if your husband dies & you remarry & want more kids. My niece is a lot ore patient than I am & she was just like "can we just move it along, please?" So after I find out my niece already did this from her Mom/my sister, I called my gyno & the barrage of questions. I was like dude you have been seeing me here since my 20s the kid thing isn't happening here. And mine was pretty freaking bad. My tongue would turn blue. I used to faint all the time. It was the same thing: 1 good week & 2 so-so weeks & 1 really bad week. I didn't even know what an ablation was. The tube thing was rough to get over because they took it from my naval (you can't tell). If I just had the ablation, I am told it's a 2 day recovery just sitting down comfortable. I did all the birth control & had an IUD that made me physically sick. I truthfully believe the old rule that I had when I was young & that was to stop birth control at 30 & I think I kind of get that now that I am pushing 57. Insurance covered the whole thing for the pain & lost work time. It may not work for everyone but it worked for me.

Do the doc or write the book Annie. Brittney’s right , it needs to be brought to light and your intentions are pure. You’ve got Rogan and Whitney behind you, that tiny shit school should try it , you and the people that back you would roll them three times over. I get it completely, pondering whether you want to spend your energy and time on getting justice for the past and if it would help anything. But even if you can help protect one kid , it would be worth it ya know ? The fact that you’re wrestling so hard with this decision may be because it’s really important and could change the course of history. What if the one kid you save cures a terrible disease and would’ve been destined for horror had they suffered the abuse. This cycle is sick. We will support you whatever path you choose. You’re a powerhouse no matter what and hope you find peace with the bullying trauma. ❤

In response to the menstrual cycle issues, I recommend making sure that you're getting sunlight, a well rounded healthy diet, drinking water, getting your rest, reducing stress, and at least light exercise. Also pay attention to the chemicals that you put on your skin. Many of these substances get absorbed into the skin. They can cause hormonal changes, and other effects. I recommend vitamin c from a food source, such as strawberries, brussels sprouts, broccoli, lemon/lime water, other citrus fruits. Vitamin c is great for healing, and is anti inflammatory. I also recommend an alkaline food, such as lime juice. Many Americans have acidic diets. Alkaline foods help, such as Harris teeter frozen spinach. Good fats, such as fish oil, olive oil, and peanuts in the shell are good. Have actual fruit instead of juice

I love seeing Annie on here. That’s how I found you guys, when you were on Trash Tuesdays :). Wow I could so relate to these haircut nightmares 😢. Mine was similar to one of them. I was asked by the owner of the salon I went to if I’d like to be a hair model and would get a free haircut. So me being young and naive I said yes! So I went and she said she wanted to do a modern cut. I said ok but NOTHING above my shoulders ! Part way through she was getting advice from the owner of the salon and there was some whispering going on… next thing I know is she went shorter! I was like whoa 😮! Not short! I put my hand behind my head and felt stubble !!! Yes freaking stubble!! I instantly started tearing up 🥺. Then she said I’m going to do a A-line cut but after the judging she can even it out for me. At that point I was in tears and shock and said ya whatever. Everyone could clearly see I was having a very bad time. Someone even came up to me and asked if they could get me a drink… 🥃 I said sure from the bar! lol that answer was no because I was a “model”. Anyhow … this was in the late 80’s and I was a rock n roll chick… I loved my long hair and I left there looking like a prep with hair shaved up the back and short on one side long on the other. The owner said I could come back to her shop and she would at least even the cut out. I cried all the way there and left her salon with a layer haircut with only a few inches in length all around. Yes I was traumatized and still to this day dread 😰 getting anything done to my hair!

Stage 4 endo and PCOS. Periods easy af now - mostly whole food vegan diet but I cheat a LOT 😂 so honestly, IF and the occasional 2-day water fast is what's doing most of the work. And believe me, after 5 surgeries, 3 of which with the BEST surgeon who got every visible speck of it only for it to come back with a vengeance, being loaded with scar tissue and adhesions...the difference is huge. Was in constant horrible pain, bleeding like crazy for 2 months straight even when I was on continious birth control. Wanted to die. Now, no birth control, no painkillers, heating pad on occasion. Period is light, usually cramp-free. No endo belly. World of difference.

You just leave one ovary. Then you do not go through early menopause

Not always true. My endo spread throughout my body and xenoestrogens affect growth and your adrenals make estrogen which also still feed the endo. So it works for some, not all and also puts you at risk of pelvic organ prolapse. I ended up with that even without a hysterectomy or kids because of scar tissue and adhesion issues from multiple surgeries and a wildly tilted uterus.

@@user-sz8qo1sp1i that sounds terrible.. are you still getting your periods? what are you doing now for the pain?

@@HH-gv8mx yeah, it's not great 😂😋. But I did a lot of physio and will be getting surgery for the prolapse since it hasn't helped (the scar tissue seems to be blocking any chance at resolving it through physio, it's a war zone in there 🙄). As far as the endo (stage 4 and PCOS), though, things are remarkably better after basically 20 years of trial and error when surgeries weren't doing much for the pain. I still get periods and they are mostly easy af now. I eat a whole food vegan diet but I cheat a LOT 😂 so honestly, IF and the occasional 2-day water fast is what's doing most of the work. I have had 5 surgeries for the endo, 3 of which with the BEST surgeon who got every visible speck of it only for it to come back with a vengeance, so for being loaded with scar tissue and adhesions and to be in minimal pain...the difference is huge. Was in constant horrible pain, bleeding like crazy for 2 months straight even when I was on continious birth control. Wanted to die. Now, no birth control, no painkillers, heating pad on occasion. Period is light, usually cramp-free. World of difference. It's mostly the prolapse that's causing all of the issues now. I also take serrapeptase. But that's it. Diet and lifestyle changes made more difference than anything else ever came close to doing 😊. Sorry for the ramble - hope that helped a little!

Brit is wrong about Walmart and the theft. I got caught in December (4 months ago) at self checkout discounting produce. I bought everything that was in my car. I just said I had two avocados instead of six or weighed the red onions as something else since red onions are so expensive. Walmart took me down! I’m still in court over this. I had to pay $250 in court, I was part of the plea they wanted me to take anger management another way for the courts to make money even though I wasn’t angry I was crying when I got. They want to do community service and volunteer. I have called literally over 36 places and no one let you do volunteer work if it’s mandated. Especially if it’s a theft charge. So Walmart definitely does not wait until it’s $1000! Hard produce! And it ruined my life because I can’t get a job now. Even if I get hired somewhere , it’s always rescinded when they find out that I have a theft charge. 😔
