Not sure how I missed this jewel ?! Not a single complaint here , but I wish it was a slightly better sound recording because there are several tonal changes and harmony choices she made considering that , although her voice has aged gorgeously … some of the higher registered places in songs such as this one aren’t as easy as they once were for her to so effortlessly meet. But because she’s SO good nothing is missed in terms of how she sang this many years later. If anything she manages to make these gems better ! I’m not comparing the two , but take Elton John for instance , the songs that he has most recently performed live and in which he can’t come close to the super high notes he once did , the alternative notes (IMO) are somewhat of a letdown. Not so with Lennox. The changes she makes in order to be able to still sing our favorites are DEEPLY gratifying to her fandom’s ears ! So much so that, had she never had quite the ability to hit the notes 30 years ago , the songs STILL would’ve been fantastic. And this performance illustrates that perfectly , I think .
