Hi Jocelyn, thanks! I used a full tin of paint for a double coat in a room of 5x3meters with average ceiling height. You use a lot less paint when you use the wall paint brush!

Do you have to seal the wall paint? I'm in the USA - but I want to do a Wall project and get a light "linen/paper stock" texture effect. I'm experienced with painting and restoration, I've just never used Chalk Paint - I've searched high and low for advice on Walls/Chalk Paint and even a wood table base I was thinking of using Chalk Paint on, to achieve a flat chalky effect. No luck yet with advice. I will try here - (I am in a rural setting and 80 miles to a place that carries AS Products - not an option I'm excited about.) However - Let's assume I have a creative 2nd option - "big smile" 1. Will I need to put a sealer over chalk paint on the walls - (if I can't get AS product)? 2. If I'm after a flat finish on a wood table base (it's a coffee table, retro 1958, with a heavy-HEAVY Italian Marble top, ivory, was My parents - I learned to pull up on this table - it's rather an expensive item, but - I really want the base a flat chalky black. (2 yrs and still want it - so I'm read, trust my decision.) Appreciate advise if you have the time. Hi, no you don't have to seal the Annie Sloan wall paint, it's a different texture then the normal chalk paints. If you use normal chalk paint on a piece of furniture the wax you can seal it with will make the paint on the item longer lasting but I have often not used a wax on chalk paint and the paint still looked great. I would suggest having a look on the Annie Sloan website or KZbin channel for more tips. Good luck!

Hi, my pleasure! The wall paint is sort of the same thickness as white emulsion. I really like applying it with the brush and you use a lot less paint too compared to using a roller. (check the Annie Sloan KZbin page there's a video on that)

I was just in Denmark a few days ago noticed the walls in the our apt when I ask what is the paint they said plaster paint / chalk paint nothing new they have used it since the end of the war !... its all everyone I talked to use super cheap... how is AS paint different than mixing plaster with acrylic paint?

Hi Shelly, great question unfortunately I really don't know. I never mix my own paint and always use ready made tins. I love the Annie Sloan Wall paint as it gives the texture of plaster but it is very easy to clean if the wall gets dirt on it. I also love the colours in the collection. I have a feeling plaster might dry very quick and crack the paint? Let me know if you do go down that route as would love to know how you get on x
