Love when the two of you work together! I have to say Chalk Paint is my first love! Annie, your piece is so gorgeous, and you make it look like such a simple finish but there’s so much depth! I must be overthinking and just need to jump in and try this beautiful mesh of colors to create a stunning blend like this ❤❤❤

I think they are both very nice. Lovely to see both of you collaborating on this project. I would enjoy seeing more projects, perhaps a room….. starting with a blank slate and the two of you designing everything from the wall colors to the furnishings. It could be a series!! ❤ We could all learn so much and be entertained as well.

I love watching the two of you painting with different techniques. Both are fabulous! I especially like the information about blending chalk paint vs not blending satin paint. Good to know. Annie thank you for showing the different waxes and their effect. I'm still learning and so grateful for both of your videos! Please do more together!!!! Love both of your painting styles!!!! I've just finished a secretary desk in aubusson blue and used the lacquer to finish it! It came out beautiful. I think I'll keep it!

Love this! I prefer the stormy seas look. I would maybe put a nautical inlay on the top. I am a sucker for the chalk paint look for sure. I think for Jonathan’s piece the red background would actually compliment it more. It’s a much neater, tidier look for sure. I do prefer the whimsical. My mom always told me I’m very whimsical (she didn’t really like that about me). They are both beautiful. Well done you two!

Painting a huge cabinet and it’s taking me a long time to figure out how I wanted it to work because I was just trying to be very colorful with my chalk paint and I am using ocean theme colors and I am almost done somewhat then I wax

I love everything you do, long live chalk paint, it will always have my heart. I am looking at a little dresser that I want to play with and thought I might do a checkered design on the top. Have you done any checkered patterns in chalk or satin, that would be fun to see your rendition since it is so trendy. Thank you Annie and Jonathon.

Start again, I have just painted a table using Annie Sloan paint. There is no way that I could’ve gone back over stuff, even 20 seconds after painting without it, dragging and causing the dried effect looking very blotchy. It is without a doubt the hardest paint in the world to work with in my opinion and I’m sorry Annie, I would never use it again.

Chalk paint dry so quickly so flattering I’m going back over stuff just makes blotchy it’s the hardest paint I’ve ever worked with and I know I’m not buying this and this and this is Lynne paint that I used

Hi, I just bought some chalk paint in two colors, and clear wax. I am going to paint my Grandfathers desk. I enjoyed watching how you applied the paint, and I love the mottled effect that you achieved. I also purchased the silver gilding wax which I will apply on a carved decorative edge on the desk. I noticed that you painted over the hardware. and wondered if I could paint over the metal drawer pulls with the gilding wax in silver. Would this finish rub off?

Really love all your videos, you are so beautiful and talented. Can I ask what should be used on a mirror for gloss that has been spray painted gold and now looks matte'. I’m working on a mahogany dining room set and am wanting to make it lighter It is in pristine condition so the start is very difficult I love the look of a white wash on the top and a more pure white or light on the base and hutch Any suggestions 🙏🏻

Can I use your paint for a hedgehog house? I have a wooden feeding station, with floor, which is hard to clean. I thought about using my AS paint to make the exterior more fun, but feel it's more urgent to paint the interior because they leave a lot of pooh.

Wait wait wait! Thats a good question. Which paint for a new painter? If a new painter wants to "flip" furniture for profit maybe they go for satin, but if they want to fall into furniture art they go for chalk. What do you think?

It's totally up to you! Both would work for a new painter. They give completely different finishes, so it's up to you with what you prefer.

Hello! 1) Yes you can paint over a Chalk Paint surface with Satin Paint, as long as it's fully dry, sound and dust-free. 2) Yes you can use Dark Wax at any time, but we would recommend doing another coat of Clear Wax first to ease application.
