Anniversary Classic - SM GY Mage Solo (32-39) | 55-70k XPH

Neat way to do big pulls in SM GY to solo level from 32-39. Open world is incredibly contested and this ended up being faster than having farm to myself.

Doable without minor speed to boots, but it makes life so much easier. Also bring bandages as your health is a resource. MANA POTS.

I've done this from level 31. Here are some things I've noticed, in case someone wants to try this farm. 1. Ideally don't do it until 34. It's VERY HARD early on. you just won't have the mana unless you have crazy spirit+int gear AND high lvl potions. It took me like 6 hours to level from 31.5 to 33. 2. You should probably run around doing some mana regen to start the pull with 100% mana. you can easily get some distance from the mobs without using blink by jumping into the safespots. This is also how you do it without movespeed. Just take advantage of the safespots. 3. Counterspell also dispels the fake ghost mobs. If one of them comes through the blizzard, you can CS them without losing a global. 4. You can use lvl 1 dynamites to occasinally clear most of them at once. They cost less than 1s and you won't waste any mana that way. For the most part you can just ignore the ghosts though. 5. First aid and mana potions (at least lvl 22 potions) are NOT OPTIONAL. 6. Just go get minor movespeed. It's possible without it but you don't want to try it. Without movespeed this farm is just torture. 7. Use both R1 and max rank blizzard, but mostly R1 as it costs less mana per cast and you can offset a huge % of the cost with spirit + mage armor (even if it's technically slightly lower DPM).

Minor movement speed should be an investment for any mage by lvl 20. Honestly EVERY char should invest before 40. If you get new boots use them for the long runs.

Been trying to learn this pull for the past week, it is rough. I don't think you were lying when you said you died about a million times while learning cause I'm getting up there in deaths, getting demoralized. I think the hardest part for me is keeping the mobs together while I'm Blizzarding them down, seems like eventually they'll start to scatter when I'm done channeling Blizzard and moving to the next spot.

Just pulled it off as 32 gnome. Got minor speed increase on boots. Made sure to kill the Phantoms that were in the way of the pull before mass pulling. Though I did leave 1-2 up that wasn't really in the way of me pulling all the other mobs. After that, the pull become much easier.

All that happens for me during pull is Haunting Phantasm and Anguished Dead stand still(Sometimes casting, sometimes just standing still without casting) and split the pack and I have to either reset or use IB to reset positioning which runs the risk of Illusory Phantasm spawns messing up pull. Do i have to jump up and down in a certain rhythm, is it a pattern, what to look out for as a timing? I wish this part was more explained/had a detailed breakdown video explaining each part of the whole process. Edit: Have tried for over 10-15 runs b2b. I am level 34 gnome, stats are 179 int, 123 spirit and 65 stam. I have used 2 stacks of mana potions + 1 stack mageweave bandage and payed lots in repair fee. The boiling point for my runs are haunting phantasm spawning illusory phantoms in the middle part or near corner which insta kills the run. PLEASE make a guide on how to do this, anyone.

Some advice after practicing this pull for 2 evenings and having some success finally: 32-34: 1. This large chain pull is, in my opinion, impossible before level 34. You absolutely need mage armor mana regen to be able to down the anguished dead and haunting phantasm mobs. 2. That being said, 32-34 is really quick if you just single target the anguished dead and phantasm mobs. These give over 1% XP each kill. Once you clear area to work with then pull all the unfettered spirit mobs like you would any world pack and aoe them with nova/blizzard. This helped get me to 34 pretty quickly. 34+: 1. These wall jumps, including the kill phase wall jump are much easier if you jump without moving, and then tap W (your forward key) to "stick" to the wall and then make another jump attempt to get onto the wall. 2. The kill phase corner jump angle seems to be the best if you aim your camera 45 degrees between the wall, meaning you are looking directly at where the two walls meet. Make sure you are standing on the right ledge as well when you attempt to do this jump. Practice without any mobs to get the feel for it. 3. With mage armor you can now regen mana while juggling the mobs. You still need help from mana agate, pots, bandages, etc. The more utility you have, the less downtime from death walking you'll encumber. I'll update with more info later or might even make a video response with more advice.

this is alot harder then it looks, the illusionary phantoms just get out of hand for me on this pull, I also get no xp for killing the unfettered spirits summon times aswell, I don't think its worth the effort vs a reliable spellcleave grp tbh

Undead Female is notoriously bad at jumps. You most likely need a different setup than what I'm showing. Also Deviate does not change your model, so that won't help.

@@lucca4437 undead male/human male are generally the best all around jumpers. Gnomes are bad most of the time, but are better for Slave Pens.

Potentially. Just make sure you're on the little ledge slightly above the ground before trying to jump up. Jumping from the ground only works on certain races.
