Anno 1404 My City

Wow thank you everybody for the massive views!
Just a quick video about a city I made in Anno 1404 Venice.
I used cheats otherwise I had to wait too long for my palace buildings etc.
It took me 7 hours and 53 minutes to complete this town.

I have sunk so many hours in to this game. Watching your video makes me want to install the game and play some more. Did you know there is a profile floating around on the net that has all the extra stuff unlocked? You can make even better looking cities with that! Ok, that's it... I am installing the game right now!

CHROMEOFFICER It is a profile-file you have to put in your saves folder to unlock all the extra stuff. Not a mod, just someone's savegame. It gives you access to everything there is to unlock in the game: banners, colors, logos, buildings etc. so you can make even more awesome looking cities! It has been a while since I played it as well. But for some reason Anno 1404 is a game I always keep getting back to. Truly one of the best city-builders I have ever played. And it looks so pretty :)

Ok that's pretty cool. I remember there was also some kind of folder that unlocked everything but I'm not sure :p Yeah indeed! But my favorite remains Anno 1503. But I must say Anno 1404 comes close to it and the graphics are of course better :D

CHROMEOFFICER I believe I have played all Anno games and they were all good. In the end it all boils down to personal preference. Although I might have to add that 2070 has horrible DRM. Too many times I wasn't able to play the game because of the servers being down which is really frustrating when you want to play. I hope they will make an Anno Ancient Egypt someday. I have been craving for another good Egyptian builder since Pharaoh and Children of The Nile.

Ahnha! Good question! The area's where there is a forrest, I had built it full with peasant houses so the buildings in the town got upgraded and then I deleted them and I put a forrest arround it :)

I played almost every anno well except anno 2070, but anno domine 1404 is the best one I am still playing it. What i really want to say is that anno 1404 is very much similar to The settlers 7 paths to kingdom with a slight difference settlers 7 has 4 seasons, if anno had 4 seasons the game would be even more interesting. For example: in the winter every house would require wood/coal for heating + productivity of your plantations in the oxidant would fall for a few %, in spring the % of your prediction would go up & in summer the prediction would be normal again (100%) & and in autumn the production would go down for a bit and heating material for the households would be essential again. Maybe i am hoping and asking too much, but graphics today are breathtaking.

You should really try Anno 2070. I've only played both 1404 and 2070, but I have to say 2070 really is the better vame for me. The futuristic theme is also a huge plus for me. I highly recommend you try the game, along with its "Deep Ocean" expansion. It just adds so much more to the gameplay and really I can't imagine myself playing the game without it.

Because of this video I have purchased this game (even though its older game, I've been looking for a few classic style game plays that can beat out SimCity4 and not require much processing power like CIty Skylines). But well done, Ive looked at a few videos and comments, and was a 50/50 on the purchase until I see this video.

Thanks, I think Anno 2070 is different but very amazing, it's harder than the previeous games and you get a lot building options, but I still prefer the older setting games like 1503 and 1404. (been playing these time settings sinds 2003)

Here, in the Netherlands, many stores have this game. If you like expansion packs, look for the Anno 1404 + Venice expansion pack, the so-called Gold Edition. It was only around 5 to 10 euros where I bought it ($6.69 - $13.37), I don't know the exact price anymore. Price is low now, so get ittt..!!

I recorded it in different shots, these are multiple video files. You can rotate your camera easily while pressing your scrollbutton en move around with the mouse. This was a random map I just tried a couple of times to find enough space :)

Well I used cheats in this one. But you have to make sure your taxes are hight but not too high for your population. And trade with the A.I. Hope this helps :)

It looks a lot like Sparta in terms of geometry. :P However, overorganized cities lack variety, which is a great flaw. Try to add some diversity and some unique features.

The city looks good but the north island n_l03 from add-on is the second as space to use compared to north island n_l01 from add-on wich is basicaly my favourite island to put the city, as for city havinh only lvl 3 and 4 houses that can be done, u only need to build lots of houses to lvl the ones u want then u demolish the lvl 1 and 2 houses and remain just with those so it might not be cheating but still on N_L01Add-on u can do alot more and alot better.

no basically you play as Europeans but the you also gotta expand into the orient (Arab civilization) to get the stuff your Europeans need to satisfy them. Basically u get to play 2 civs in a single game. (it's a must)
