I had a mixed reaction to Anno 2205. The first time I heard about this game, I was ecstatic about it. Huge island, going to the Moon, modular industries ecc... But then... Semplistic economy(well not really a downside but...) Fixed map. One "Island". It pretty much removed what I liked the most from previous Anno's. And the Anno 1800 come, and it was a perfect mix of both.

doesn't look like the mod changed that much. mostly an extra step in producing food. that solar panel is pretty sweet. the windmills take up a lot of space. I also like that the modules and ornaments were unlocked from the beginning.

The New Life story in Greentide unlocks Synthetics which are an upgrade to investors which create more workforce for your pool but unlike investors they generate no revenue. So, it's best to use them sparingly.

to beat my compertitor at this game, i always stock al lot of expesive stuf and sell it to buy directly island of my opponent before i enter in the stock market.lunar corp battle is annoying.

i liked the idea of Anno2205. I hoped for an Anno + Economy-Mix... an Anno were we can not gain money by letting them buy our products with the wages we pay to them. Instead we must sell our products on the world market to gain much profit. Leading a company and play anno. And we can go to the moon. But at the end... it was a simpified anno with no difference between leading a company or a colony. Simplified because of the speed we must go to the arktis and we can go to the moon. The game tells uns that huge world companys can not go to the moon but we can very easily. This game has so much potenzial and ideas but no courage and or good implementation from the developer. It could have been big, epic and overwhelming but at the end it was a fast, simplified anno with company only in the name and no courage or long-play-intentions or replay motivation. I mean no random maps?

This game got so much bad rep, but I picked it up again recently and I personally like this Anno the best (after Anno 1400 maybe). I love the music, the graphics, the animation, the different regions. The only thing I hate is that there is no endless mode, you have to follow the silly campaign... but anyway, I could never solve the problem of not making enough cash
