Louis please take a lesson or two before the paddle. If you paddle 200km with a stroke like that you will kill your shoulders. Proper technique will massively save your body!

@@carolineguercio hahaha I love that! YAY. I knew it'd happen eventually, because of how closed minded he was showing up as. And I just felt he'd be all about it, sooner or later as it was in his energy as a future thing :') same with Louis and his being vegan, I knew so long before, around the time he made fun of Marcus for eating "rabbit food" and felt the reality of that he will be vegan AF and all about it and it made me LOL so hard haha. Anyways that about Ben, doesn't mean he wouldn't feel called to do a fun thing with friends for awesome reasons. In fact people who come from within, and who are all up in those things, may be more likely to do so. So really the likely reason, is that he's in a whole next other country and has plans, stuff going on, things he's all up in and enjoying there. I like yoga and crystals n shit, I'm intuitive and feel ppls energy, higher self, see life paths unfolding beforehand etc and am vegan etc etc all magical AF. I'm like whole other levels beyond Ben probably (but thank you for notifying me I was right in my intuitive interpretation and he IS indeed my peoples :') :p ) And yeah anyways I'd LOVE to do the kayaking thing with Louis, it'd be amazing!!! So the reasoning was indeed screwy and not accurate :) ;)

It's a wonderful trip to do, a totally different view of England, I am sure you'll love it. And don't worry about the training. To do it in ten days is really not very physically demanding. Nothing like a long bike ride (I've done many). More akin to the equivalent number of hours walking each day.

I have kayaked the Thames from Cricklade (first place it it deep enough to put a kayak in) to Teddington (end of the non tidal Thames). That is 135 miles. It's another 22 miles on the tidal Thames to central London. I think you won't find interesting enough for a vlog everyday, though I imagine the locks will prove fun material. Sea kayak is for sure the way to go. One ends up about the same speed at the narrow boaters, and slightly slower than the plastic boaters. The only real risks are: locks - if you go through on the water - take good care (is a lot easier than portaging if your kayak is full of gear). The other main risk drunk or plain stupid people in hired cruisers as you get further down the river. Took me seven days for the whole trip, taking it relatively easily and being not that fit and quite a bit older than you. There is almost no current, so it's a bit like being on a canal. You camping?

I think You could use the hero 7 for your hands free needs. It stays pretty smooth. Thats what I do anyways. Im looking forward to seeing your adventures.

You should try using a paddle boat. It would be easier to propel a boat using your legs instead of your arms, and it would probably move you a little faster. It's likely that your arms will wear out sooner than your legs on such a long boat ride.

More accurately named a Pedal Boat. You can rent them. You could also try a Pedal powered Kayak with a simple canopy to avoid sunburn. If you get a two person boat, and bring a ship mate with you, it would really be a big help. You could trade off on shifts and not get so tired, while still making progress when one of you is fatigued. Give it some thought.

I vote for vlogs every other day, with live streams interspersed where appropriate...e.g I'll never forget your live "night ride" in Spain during the bike ride. You can't capture that sense of immediacy in a summary vlog. I look forward to following your kayak adventure!

NOOOOHHHH! Not an inflatable kayak! Puleez!! Ok, deep breath... I've been ocean kayaking for over 20 years. I even SCUBA dive off my kayak , get yourself a real kayak! I used to do kayak support for a 24 mile earth day swim back in the day. That took about 6 months training each time. And your kayaking friend is absolutely correct. Kayaking is all about core and not arms! So cheers and good luck!

You are very creative with your shots and do a great job with the Fusion or any other camera you use. I think mixing it up between the different cameras, as you mentioned, would look really good! The Fusion is always cool the way you can pan around with it, but also understand how the editing could be tough on a trip like that. So, mixing it up between edited vids and livestreams would probably would be the best on you to enjoy the trip as well as getting some higher quality edited videos in too. I feel the deep depth of field looks best when you are in some cool looking scenery so that it feels more like the viewer is there instead of everything being blurred out. Have a fun trip! p.s. The helmet idea is good... otherwise it looks like a pole is coming out of your head... :)

Hi Louis. I don't know about you but I'm excited for your Thames trek! But can I give you some feedback? (It's good, honest!). Last April my mum suffered from a stroke and was in hospital for about a month. This was when you did your bike journey with Regenerate. One of the things that got me through was watching your vlogs and live streams and being absorbed in your adventure. It gave me something to look forward to after leaving the hospital each day. It was a remedy to the stress and anxiety I had at the time. I still rate your live over night vlog as my fav KZbin video ever! So for me as much content as you can throw my way as you do your Thames trek the better! And I'll be donating for sure. Such a fantastic cause. Oh and my mum's doing really well now, so it all came good in the end :) xx

You can make 10 short vlogs plus one summary video from all trip after you come back home and have more time for editing. I don´t like the livestream much, quite bad quality last time.. I would also use fusion plus have some gopro mounted on the cayak in the front as well as some backup Sony camera for close up shots when there is something really interesting and you can stop for while..

Hey louis, haven't watched a vid for a while. The kayak trip sounds awesome. I thought the fusion footage was the best and maybe a tripod on the front of the kayak would be good? Perhaps hiring an editor for the trip would be beneficial, save you on time so you can concentrate on rest and recovery in the evenings.

I would like to see what you see while kajaking, the nature and buildings, maybe ducks or whatever crosses you way and of course your circle of friends interacting. But it doesn't has to be a livestream. (360 would be divine!) Would be great to have a short video at the end of every day with a bit of everything and a long full trip video after the whole thing. I would be sad, if there would be no video at all, but you have to decide what is doable for you!

I would rather every other day or everyday of high quality videos. RX0 looks good but isn’t as wide as the GoPro so use Hero 7 for hands free but when you can use your hands then the RX0. Then with the fusion just set it up and leave it recording.

if you decide to go with just 1 camera i would go with the fusion to be able to switch perspective. if you go with 2 or more i would go with a Hero 7 facing forward (and back?) and the sony as a facecam.

I don't care about live stream as I rarely catch them and the quality is not as good. I'd take the sony and the fusion with the iphone for audio and do a big summary video at the end. It'd be nice to watch the whole thing in one sitting. Love that you put the fusion in your dreads I could not work out the shadows until you explained that.

Personally I don't think you could go wrong with any of the action cameras, my favorite overall footage is from the Hero 7 the Sony is nice but for adventure type vlogging I feel the wider angle is better for telling the story, most of the time; and of course the Fusion, might not be the best image wise but it gives the most flexibility, just mount a carbon fiber pole on the back of your kayak with a flexible type base to mount the Fusion. At the end of the day you have to do whats best for Louis and the brand, either way I'll be watching.
