It would have been good if the lower half was interchangeable so you could swap it out for the wheels and have the option to have it in road mode but either way it looks cool, thanks wayne!

Hi Wayne, thanks for the review. I have this in 1/18 scale and only a little detail initially. The front has the Lotus Emblem where as the original in the movie has the name Lotus, my copy also has the name and not the badge. I will look forward to your build of this when it comes round.

Get well soon Wayne. The wife and I also got COVID, we seem to have caught it just after your quiz oddly enough. Thanks for the heads up video of the new Agora release. Its nice to have a back drop graphic to give it an environment to be in but I think it would be better not to have the subject your modeling in it. I also think it would have been nice to have the wheels fold away to convert to a sub but maybe it would have been too difficult to engineer.

Yes it was but you had to do 2subscriptions 1one for road mode/1for submersible mode. As you couldn't switch between the2on the fly

I certainly didn’t expect it to be able to convert from a Sub to a car as that was impossible,movie magic and took a number of different models to achieve.I was,however,expecting the additional parts for conversion and that is,I’m afraid,a deal breaker for me,

When Eaglemoss trialed the kit a few years back it did have wheel option ... A shame .... This was on my must have list but now with no wheels ..__l will not be buying.....What a big dissapointment.

The 1/18 Autoart model could be converted from road car to sub. Bit disappointing if we can’t at least pop the sub bits off and fold out the wheels.

If it converted it would be a matter of removing parts and adding others. The movie magic was done with editing and multiple vehicles, not a real vehicle that had multiple modes.

Sigh, I'd love to get this but I really, really wish these companies would just let us buy the entire kit. How many parts packs does this have? Will it be yet another 1-2 and a half year build? I would have bought this as well as about 4 other kits if these were offered without the long, painfully drawn out process to get them built. Oh well, on the bright side I guess it saves me another $1,500 - $2,000.

agora usually does offer the entire kit (all packs) and an accelerated version (half the packs), but only after they have put out all the respective packs at least once. This is good if it's been around for a while and you just became aware and decide to get the entire thing in one go. However, if it's a new release like this, it won't be availible for a full purchase until they release all the packs. So you may as just subscribe because you will be waiting the same amount of time anyway

Looking at their website no mention of any engine details, removable wheels. Just looks like a shell with some interior and not much else, but still want to charge full price as if it was a full car kit. Piss poor in my opinion.

I prefer it this way. Me and the Mrs were talking about this. How many times did we use the flying option in the Delorean. If it had a road wheel option it would be a regular Lotus Esprit. The draw of the James Bond one is that its iconic because of its sub mode. It makes sense to me.

@@WorldofWayneUK I realize this is personal preference, so I'm not looking to imply one opinion is more valid than the next, but the one thing I've learned over the many years of building static models is I build them, I put them in a display case, and they remain untouched from then on. I don't even add features like lights, working door latches, etc., anymore as that requires removing the display case and touching the model. For me, I've decided static models will be 100% static and if I want a working model, I limit them to RC models (i.e., I built a Tamiya RC 1/14 scale truck. Great model. Lights, sound, vibrations, etc.) which are designed to be handled and used. The only exception to this is when I'm building models that look much better when lit (Polar Lights Star Trek Enterprise, Amati Titanic) but even with this, I can wire the thing and use either remote control or a wired switch outside the display case to turn the lights on. Physically messing with models you spent long hours to be 'perfect' doesn't make sense to me. JMHO... Oh, and BTW, I agree... what makes this car unique is that it can become a sub. I see no reason to show it with it's wheel as it then just becomes another Esprit. Again, JMHO.

I think what I was trying to say was I would have been nice to have the option of car or sub, and I think that a few folk would have bought 2 to do one of each, at least with the delorean, you could have it in car or flight option, or indeed with train wheels or white walls, the point is there were options, but with this there are not, I think agora may have missed a trick with this build, but it is what it is, I will follow the build on your channel wayne, hope your all feeling better soon

it looks horrible , so awfully cheap , a blown up in size cheap 1/43 scale model by burrago,, the details are like 1990s actionman toys , the interiour is horrible ,, a total waste of money IMHO
