I would say DreamWorks is making fun of Disney. 'Cause let's face it. Mermaids are truly FAR from evil. That's why this movie is a FAKE. Krakens are protectors of the ocean, yes. But so are mermaids. Mermaids especially are fearless, selfless, caring and, with hardly any doubt, kind-hearted and respectful to both people and fish. Disney's The Little Mermaid explains it all.
