Hopefully most viewers are not naive enough to know this is a complete satire because honestly, even Americans don't speak like that LOL. And yes, I am one of those Singaporean "returnees" who come back to visit family once a year and frankly, I did not have a Singlish accent while I was living in Singapore and neither do I speak with an "American accent" because, honestly Californians (can't speak for other parts of US) don't really have an accent - it's quite generic sounding. I bet you wouldn't be able to pick me out in a crowd for being a "foreigner" when I speak. And why would anyone call the MRT the Tube because that is specific to London and subways are mostly called that in NYC, it's the L in Chicago, the T in Boston and Muni or BART in San Francisco. When someone mentions subway here, they are referring to the sandwich. And yeah, allergies are kinda a weird thing here especially in CA, where I have encountered all kinds of kids (from my kids classes) with peanut, strawberries, dairy, whatnot allergies so much it's pretty impossible to bring food for the class without the teacher worrying about someone having a breakout. And then there's the vegan, pescatarian and keto crowd which always make team dinners somewhat challenging. Very first-world problems.
