This was well done. I love the arrangement. It makes me proud to be a citizen of the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It is on our tiny island of approximately 1.3 million people that the steelpan was invented. We are also known for our Carnival. We are known for Calypso and Soca music. Bunji Garlin who sang Diffrentology is from Trinidad. Brian Lara the cricketer and world record holder is from Trinidad also. Our most recent sporting hero is Keshorn Walcott he won the gold medal at the olympics in the field of javelin. I love my country. Trinidad and Tobago to the world!

Best use of 1/8 steel drums! When I was in the Lesser Antilles, they were everywhere! For 3 months after my 2=weeks in paradise, I would hear the rhythm and steel at quiet moments in my day. The islands are truly magical. Barbados is as far south of Cuba, as Cuba is to Cleveland! It is a trip worth taking! The kindest, most hospitable people in the world!

My Grandfather's uncle was the fifth Archbishop of Trinidad Tobago. He was Archbishop Patrick Vincent Flood, DD, O.P. He died around 1906. He was responsible for building the Archbishop's house. I understand there is a street behind the house called Flood Alley.

Guy vacations on a tropical isle. He hears drums beating in the jungle from the moment he arrives. They continue all night. He gets no sleep. He complains in the morning to the hotel manager. This really makes me miss steel band so much omfg! We used to have one in my middle school along with choir, piano, and bells but our steel band instructor from mid. School started up the band again in our Highschool but then disappeared halfway through the first semester and the band shut down 😭😭 no other schools around ours did. steel band so the school wound up just shutting down the practice room. Normally we could just go in there and play on the pans but then that year the room flooded and yeah… no more steel pan 😭😭
