Anodizing Racing Aliexpress exhaust - 2018 mt07 fz07 - Quick install guide and comparison

Anodizing exhaust for 2014-2019 Yamaha Mt07
There are currently no videos anywhere that show to how install these, and they can be a pain in the ass!
Firstly, I WOULD recommend this exhaust for around $200 you really can't go wrong.
I got it from the anodizing official store on AliExpress and it shipped to Australia in 7 days from China, Which is crazy fast!
The only issues I have are that it comes with no instructions, nothing at all...
And it comes with a bunch of useless extra bolts making you second guess if it's on correctly.
If you follow my guide, it could be done in around 30-45 minutes.
Rating:
Sound: 9/10
Install: 7/10 (no manual, strange amount of extra parts)
Quailty: 8/10
Overall: if you're not prepared to spend $1200 on Akrappovic, I'd definitely give this a go as the sound without baffle is comparable. For $200 and fast shipping, I would recommend this exhaust without a doubt!

Better to unplug the O2 sensor rather than twist up the wires. Note : on a MT 09 Tracer you need to remove the center stand to remove the stock exhaust

I think the tapered piece you threw away allows the header to taper into the muffler and seal up any gaps. It slides on the header with the fat part, then the narrow part slides in the muffler, then springs hold in place with tension. No need for sealer that way.

Hey David. I haven't done any tune, I was planning on doing that when I do my next big service as I'll do a DNA airfilter at the same time. Runs perfectly fine without tune or power commander though so I'm in no rush, cheers!

I have installed mine same headers with different slip on. I am getting backfire when letting off the throttle. Is this the reason you put sealant between the slip on and the pipes? I am pretty sure no air is getting in or out. May need a tune, just not sure.

Hey, I only put sealant because the springs are useless and don't hold it tight enough. Actually, last week I used a M6x120 bolt where the springs would normally hold it, that helped a lot. I never had backfire unless I really gave it hell.

Back firing on engine deceleration means the engine is running lean. A tune to run the engine richer would fix that.

Looking on the power commander website I don’t see a fuel map for this what should I use?

use the m4 with no baffle tune. thats what this exhaust is modeled after. You should have an auto tune feature if you have the newest power commander. If not maybe there is a way for me to send you my fuel and ignition table. my bike was dyno'd at 230ft above sea level thats roughly where my area sits at

I wonna order the same exhaust for my xsr700, but is two things first is f... loud 😜, and second thing is that the pipes have different angle then orginal one, and that is problem if you have nice belly pan from SW-MOTECH, just not gonna fitted together.

That piece is so it fits into a pipe smaller than 51mm diameter, because the muffler itself is universal, but headers are not.
