Unsere musikalische Reise führt uns heute ins traumhafte England mit ihrer Weite und schönen Natur.
Es erklingt ein altes traditionelles Stück aus der Kollektion "The Division Flute", die 1706 zuerst veröffentlicht wurde und meistens auf anonymen Volksliedern beruhen und im Stil französischer oder italienischer Musiken variiert werden.
Das Stück "Paul's Steeple" basiert dabei auf einer alten Balladenmelodie des 17. Jahrhunderts, auch bekannt unter dem Titel "The Duke of Norfolk". Die heiteren Variationen lassen die Blockflöte mit der Orgel in einen fröhlichen Wettstreit treten.
Es musizieren Christel Wolff-Leu (Altblockflöte) und Konrad Schäfer (Schönefeld-Orgel in St. Josef) in Ilmenau (aufgenommen am 11. April 2024).

Today our musical journey takes us to beautiful England and the beautiful nature.
An old traditional piece from the collection "The Division Flute" will be heard, which was first published in 1706 and is mostly based on anonymous folk songs and varied in the style of French or Italian music.
The piece "Paul's Steeple" is based on an old ballad tune from the 17th century, also known as "The Duke of Norfolk". The cheerful variations let the recorder enter into a cheerful competition with the organ.
