I'm from karnataka, and all the things which you said are very true, but i want to clarify one thing about language issue, it's just that if I come to delhi Or mumbai i should communicate in hindi Or that regional language, but in case of bengaluru our local sellers should learn many different languages as no one will try to communicate with us in our language, how will you guys feel if someone comes to your place and disrespect your own language and culture, I'm not saying everyone are like that, but most of the people does like that, and I'm not at all defending the people who create violence in the name of language, in fact many of those people only pay hefty fees to admit their children to english medium schools, and those protests were took place because some shops were putting name board only in English and hindi, and didn't display single kannada word, isn't it disrespect towards our language? I believe that language is just way to communication, but if someone tries to prove our language is superior than your language, then local languages revolt against that, and some political parties makes them big issue and sensationalize it for some extra votes

So many people have died because of the landslides. But they dont care. There used to be a road that came right after you left pinjore. Whenever i went from Chandigarh to shoghi, me and my family used to go from there, the road was so beautiful, it had so many colorful trees that the colors barely repeated. Now i cant even recognize some roads that i spent my childhood in. They destroyed a whole hill on the road that comes right before solan just to plant some artificial grass and put some benches on it.

I’m from Bangalore, been here all my life and it’s a well constructed video. But the last bit isn’t completely accurate. On the one hand I agree that violence of any kind is not acceptable, especially over language and especially in a country like ours where we take pride in our diversity. But if one’s tries to look at the other side of the story you will see that a decent percentage of the people who come to Bangalore disrespect and mock the locals and the language like it’s inferior or below them. Also there is a subtle but persistent attempt to impose hindi when they communicate, saying it’s the language of India, again I repeat, not all of them but unfortunately a large enough portion to make the locals feel uneasy. Finally, kannadigas are very accommodating and friendly, all it takes is a small attempt/effort of the part of the people who come to learn and say some basic words in kannada and the locals are very happy to help and appreciate the effort. When living in Germany or Spain or France we would try and do that same but kannada and most local languages in India are considered “uncool” by a large majority of the people. I guess what I’m trying to say is that there needs to be a little bit of give and take from both sides and also a change in attitude about what we think the other person’s intentions are (including me, I’ve made a blanket statement here based on a few experiences and many “stories” I’ve heard without knowing the accuracy of them)

My maternal grandfather went to HAL in 1942. Are you dumb? What do you mean by spending on north Karnataka or Bihar? We are federal nation mf not ccp China. All the tax returns are decided by finance commission. A state can put its recommendations if it's not happy infront of it. Karnataka receives 5k crore rupees returns as GST and UP recieves 25k crores. Population of UP is 25 cr and KA is 7 cr. Karnataka receives a little less per capita cause it's better on all social and economic indicators than UP. 5k crores is a meagre amount when we consider total budget of karanataka which is 3.5-4 lakhs a year A lot of factors are taken while finance commission makes decision regarding tax returns. I'm saying this as someone from Bengaluru, Karnataka. Don't peddle your bs propaganda to fool people. Study data and make your decisions.

I think all the other states and it's governments should think of developing their states in terms of employment which includes IT park, industries, malls, science and technology and research institutes etc.. so that people can work in their states and stay with their family. There are several reasons. I am born and bought up in BLR. I have lived in US for close to 2 decades and also worked in BLR for close to a decade. I can compare the indian system with the other system. Following are my thoughts. 1) Each State should have more than one employment center to employ the educated population of that State. Central govt. should incentivize it. This may reduce the over crowding of just few cities. 2) Jayanagar and Basavana gudi do not have the problem that are very common in so called NEW- BLR, at least the severity of the problem is less. Jayanagar and Basavana gudi are able to cope because Govt. made those layouts before my birth and they made sure that roads are big. Then Revenue sites were created by private land owner. Revenue layout were mostly ill planned, like 20ft road. 20ft roads were good for bycycle but not for cars of today. I think these revenue site developers created a big mess for future. Today we can not fix this mess without demolishing expensive real estate, so the problem lives. 3) Post 2000, areas like Whitefield and Marathahalli underwent a rapid, non-organic development. Development happened overnight, it was unnatural like a bad plastic surgery. Developers built over lakes, etc....Govt. failed to stop this damage from happening. 4) Road side eateries create trash that clogs the drainage system, and that creates lot of problems during rainy reason. Before 2000, road side eateries were rare. But today that is close to main stream. These guys have taken the aesthetics out of the city. 5) KA lacks local political party that is passionate about developing KA. Unfortunately we are ruled by National parties. Local leaders from national parties are more into pandering to high command than stand for the interest of the State in a selfish manner. Keyword is selfishly. 6) We need Kannada activist even though I do not agree with them all the time. If my mom(who knows only Kannada) has a problem in Metro, she should be able to talk to the guard in Kannada. And guard must be able to interact with her in Kannada.

Old blr doesn't have any of these issues. Living in old blr since birth (23 years) and never encountered any of these issues. Mind you old blr is not small, it's half city. Bengaluru is new metro city unlike other historical metros. So didn't have much time to build infra proportional to population explosion ( 3.5 million in 1991 vs 15 million in 2024) and coupled with corrupt politicians. Water shortage occured this year in few areas due to severe drought and mismanagement of water between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Traffic issues will be a little less once metro is extended to 180 km from current 75km in next 5 yearsm

Pune is fucked. It's not even half in population compared to Bengaluru (7.1 million vs 14.5-15 million). Yet Pune is 7th most congested city in world and Bengaluru is 6th . For 10km in Pune ,average travel time 27 min 50 secs and for Bengaluru is it's 28 min 10 sec.

Probably you should visit many places in Bihar and Jharkhand. There is no development yet they are highly polluted. No one makes videos on them simply because influential educated people don't leave there.
