I'm a huge fan of Sean Baker's movie and Anora is his masterpiece. If you watch his earlier work like Tangerine, The Florida Project and Red Rocket, they all have a very similar common theme of following characters that are low class and are sex workers. Anora to me is like a culmination of what Sean Baker has done as a director and put it all in this one movie. I understand the bickering and arguing can get old but to me that's normal if you're living in the NY Tristate area. Look at Uncut Gems, that had the same things going on that's in Anora.

I've actually seen Red Rocket and enjoyed it. The manic-ness of Uncut Gems really worked for me there because it always felt tense and anxiety inducing. It fit the circumstances and plot much better I thought.

@@jeydoubleyew that's fair but the bickering to me made sense since Anora is trying hard to stay in her marriage while being challenged by those Russian family members due to her being a sex worker which they don't approve of.

I agree it made sense in context, just the execution didn't do it for me. Just went on and on and on for too long
