I just received my mi band 5 today. It was completely drained when I received it so I charged upto 87%. After just 2 - 3 hours it completely drained! Just 3%. Is this normal? I was trying all the features and setting it up using the app. I'll take your advice and reduce my usage but will it start staying for longer in a few days? Have you or anyone faced this before?

yes i have, right now it is 56% for 21 days.. its only because i don't use most of features.. only some in the display options.. just have a review for every feature in your mi band and disable what's not necessary for you and don't leave the Bluetooth open all the time just when you need it.. it will make difference for sure 😉

Sir, I did all the changes as you said, I changed my watch face, I restricted all background processes, I disconnected my phone from my band and just kept that aside while I sleep. But in the morning I saw that it still keeps decharging without even using it. I also didint use my alarm. Im from India: can you pls reply When I unboxed mi band 5 I charged it for 30 mins and it has got 44 %,, and 1 % has got drained per minute after I paired it with app then , the app just asked me to sign in and told that it was connected , then I unpaired it and re-paired the app only then it showed a option activate band ,then it took long time for pairing and downloaded all the resources, then it stayed 1 % for 1 and a half to 2 hrs , then I watched this video and I did what you told and it was 89% when I did as you told , then after 24 hours only 7-8 % has got drained, but the activity of drain was like this , 89 - 88- 87 in 8 hrs then 87 - 86 in 3hrs 86 -85 in 4hrs 85-84 in 1 hour then 84 -83 in 1 hr then 83 -82 in 4 hrs like non uniform all this hpnd without using the band and offed bt My q is - why it is non uniform draining Can I just return this or should I do something for standard , uniform, draining And my stress monitor is just calculating but it's not saying the result

look i made this video specially for those who have from the beginning but then i discover from the comments of the people here that the band 5 that you can find in the market these days not like a year ago.. usually drains so fast at the early days and the battery will improve by the time may be a month.. may be more I'm not sure... its your decision about that.. whether you return it i buy a new released one or wait until it improves

My mi band 5 worked very well at starting, but after 3-4 months, battery when fully charged lasted only 1.5 HOURS! (Note that do the minimum use) then when i check heart rate or any other feature, suddenly the brightness increase and in 5-10 sec battery is totally drained (0%) and it switches off. Also I have noticed that when the power is off and I charge it just after connecting to charger it ALWAYS shows 98% charged (note that I have turned off the every minute heart rate feature, don't keep it connected to Bluetooth, and I do the MINIMUM USE!) Please help me fix this🙏🏻

Okay first of all form most of the comments i started to believe that in some countries xiaomi give really bad versions of mi band 5 don't know why.. so 1. make sure you watched all the video to cover all the points i was talking about 2. for some people the battery take some time to be at its best performance. 3. avoid heavy heavy usage as much as possible... and I'm not being silly telling you don't use at to last longer..

Very nice idea...first you buy the best mi band for 60usd, with a lot of functions and then you turn all OFF...is beter to use mi band 4 for 10usd which dont have battery consumption functions...

thanks 😊.. look mi band 5 was different from what you could buy a year ago, but unfortunately what you can buy these days drains so fast at the early days of use no matter what just give it the time and and don't forget to reboot from time to time.. you can find similar issues (from the comments) with people bought it new and after a month their battery has been improved

I'm not here to speak on behalf of Xiaomi its all from my years of experience with mi band.. about the purpose of smart watch.. think about will you buy a smartphone and complain about the battery with using for games 24/7, every smart piece of technology has its normal usage and heavy usage, my first guessing about what happened with you is that most of the features are enabled with Bluetooth, otherwise there is something wrong with you mi band... please watch all the video step by step.. I'm sure i have covered everything about the r battery with every feature... and then see what is the most suitable with you kind usage 😉

so sorry for late, i got to tell you, I think this is one stupid thing in the mi band 5 i also faced this problem and i tried many things.. double check in the settings is off and also choose a watch face from third-party app that does not contain the heart rate on the display because sometimes it happens because it's already needed on the display and to be honest sometimes for no reason 😅..

4:35 Actually i my band hear rate detection is turned off but in hardware sensors are automatically turns on for every 30 minutes and it scans for 1 minute , i dont know why this is happening , this is the main reason for battery drain . and i recently i visited near by mi service center and check out , he said all fine that a software problem there is no way to fix it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah its a stupid thing in the band but later on you will find it off by itself.. make sure of two things.. 1. choose a watch face that does not contain the heart rate on the display to not to force the band to scan for it.. that usually help. 2. from time to time reboot it till you feel the difference in battery performance or the sensor is of.

that is not normal.. if you bought it from the xiaomi store I suggest to go back to check what's wrong with it or to change it.. also make sure you have watched all the video see if you need to adjust any of the settings.. but clearly there's something wrong with your Band

yes off course, and not just that just make consideration of most of the things i explained in the video and you will find a huge difference... i just charged my band 2 days ago after it stayed 22 days from last charge with normal usage and less Bluetooth.. 😉

@@Anass_k Sure, from Lithuania. Store is legal and lives its name as electronic device seller. I will try to kill it dry to 0%. After that recharge again overnight just in case. And if will last less than 7 days. Report to Mi directly and never look at mi band again.

to be honest it was never like that once they release the Mi band 5, But from the comments of the people here i am sure that the models in the market these days are not the same at all something wrong with the battery.. im sorry to tell you that i really have no idea what to do simply because your band is way different from what i got i only bought it Aug - 2020.

i think you need to buy a new charger.. you are not going be able to charge while the magnet is not working.. go to xiaomi store see if you can find one there
