Illumicrate really is the best bookbox!! Also - I am not a vampire book fan, but The Beautiful is more about the story than about any vampires. They are there, but they are just characters in the story, the story is not about "vampires" - does that make sense? It's a book with vampires, but not a vampire-y book. Try it - I really liked it. My favorite book I've read so far this year is Ashes of the Sun by Django Wexler - a very underrated fantasy with a brother and sister. I would never read his military fantasy series (not my thing), but this was so fun. His world building is perfection and I fell in love with so many of the characters. I recommend this book to everyone right now but still haven't seen it on Booktube anywhere.

I read The Beautiful and I honestly can't remember much about it. I thinked that I liked it and I don't think the vampire premise wasn't around that much. (I just checked my review of it on Goodreads and I said something along the lines of "I liked it, good plot with the murdur mystery thing, BUT the vampire [art tried to hard to be present.") All of the books you showed in the video seem like a lot of fun, will have to put them on my tbr. Happy reading!

You want some book love? I recently reread my favorite trilogy no one talks about: Airs beneath the moon, Airs and Grace, Airs of night and sea by Toby Bishop. It's about a girl who by accident gets to ride a winged horse in a world where winged horses and the women who ride them have one of the highest status. But the prince of the land has his own plans for the horses. I just love it. I love the tension and the characters and just being in the world. It might be a little hard to get in there in the first book but it's totally worth it!

I recently read "The Way of Shadows" by Brent Weeks. It follows a boy who is learning to become a magic assassin. It gets pretty dark, but I enjoyed it quite a bit, I think you should give it a try. It deals with a lot, and I mean A LOT, of death and murder. It was incredibly well written, in my opinion.

Do the locked tomb series! Lesbian Necromancers in space! Dark with science/ magic and combat! it's also one of the rare series whose installments can stand on their own and still expand the world.
