I think the stand looks lovely. It blends with the fireplace. You could whitewash it. I.e. You could get a lighter shade non Oil based emulsion paint, mix with water and brush pit on, or use cloth and rub it in, then sating varnish over the top. Doing either a colour similar to your table or similar to your sofa. But I personally think it's fab and matches your fire place perfectly. X

You should take the leftover pillows that came with the couch to make a reading area or a place for jackson to relax in the corner of the playroom. If you get a little teepee over top, it would make a super cute area, especially for when jackson gets older.

Everything is coming along so well!!! But I don't think you should paint the entertainment shelf a solid black, but instead get like black wood paint. I don't know if that exists but you'll still get that rustic look but itll be black, if u get what I mean lol
