We had a great snow storm last night, so we are not going anywhere! 😅 All the presents have been delivered into town, so no worries, just coziness. Snow banks about 1 meter thick, the landscape looks beautiful. 💖 We live in a summer house, about 30 km from town, surrounded by mountains. I feel truly blessed. When I was very little my family would travel to a nearby town to spend Christmas Eve with my grandparents. After a lovely day, a nice dinner and our gift exchange we would head home and arrive in what felt like the middle of the night. We'd walk, bleary eyed into the house only to discover that Santa had come. We'd probably just missed him! So we were allowed to have our presents and to go ahead and exchange gifts that night. I didn't realize it was my parents' trick so that they could sleep in the next morning and have a more relaxing day. They deserved the break and it was such a nice surprise, I never missed getting up before dawn to peek at presents.
