My history teacher in high school was on the uss indianapolis that delivered parts of the bombs. He often spoke about it And the horrific sinking of the ship in class. I just bought Clifford dowdy’s biography in Lee. I have 2 of the Lee’s lieutenants and an abridged book of all 3 together but I am on the hunt for the third volume I don’t have.

Try using a soft-pencil eraser on gum residue before a solvent or IPA, especially on matte jackets. Another cleaner that is effective is any aerosol furniture polish - careful use of a more caustic cream cleaner like 'JIF' can be good for laminated jackets. -Andrew, Christchurch, NZ.

I read and loved all the Amanda Cross novels back in the 1980s and early 1990s. Kate Fansler is a fascinating character (although the amount she smokes is stunning). I assume you know that Cross was the pen name of literary scholar Carolyn Heilbrun?
