Clark moved the plant in the early 90's to South Korea from Georgetown Ky. At the time I worked for an export company, and they were our customer. We loaded and shipped 1000's of containers of Perkins engines, transaxles you name it. Story was after they built the factory in South Korea, and we shipped all these components to them to start assy. Inventory control was so poor they would literally send someone off the Manufactuing line, part in hand to find stock in the warehouse so they could keep the line moving. Been around the forklift industry all my life. Clarks were never my favorite to operate because of Hydraulic lag. But they were friggin bullet proof. You could beat the living Hell out of them. Good Stuff thanks for triggering the memory. That looks like a triple mast so you should be able to reach 15'.
@jakeschisler7525
@jakeschisler7525 7 ай бұрын
As high as you had the mast, I had to carry one down a long isle at work, so it could be worked on, that high in the air. It took me about a half hour to do it because of all the posts along the isle. I never did it that way again. I always carried them from underneath, I never trusted the ROPS. I know the ROPS are tuff. I drove about every size and make, Clarke, Pettibone, Yale, Hyster, Komatsu, there maybe more and that was over 37 1/2 years. Let's paint them John Deere green and yellow!

Forklifts are always abused not just used they are unsung heros. We had fork positioners on the one I had a Deere dealership I worked at on top of side shift along with quick couplers so I could run a pivot cylinder for a snow blade that I converted from a compact tractor

Would it be feasible to paint a Mark at 4 feet on 5he forks so they would know how far to insert the forks into a pallet? Seams like an easy fix to keep from having a repetitive problem, might save a lot of future problems.

landoll moving bogey trailer would have had enough room.... 8P gonna type something else you won't like: should have snatched it from the rear to get the heavier weight towards the knuckle and put it on sideways then put the forks through it when you brought the boomsnatch up and lashed the mess together as well as down. You got too much on the wagonlatch for a rainy day without TABS. Enjoy!

Hello I’m your newest follower and I wanted to share with you some of my knowledge of former forklift driver experience. Instead of buying shorter forks for the forklifts, how about getting some the brightest safety red paint and spray completely around the drivers side of the forks to indicate the stopping point of the forks so the operator doesn’t pickup the next pallet. Also you may think about radios for your team so they can hear exactly what you want them to do.

Clark makes a solid forklift, so does Yale. Forklifts are an indisposable tool period. Andy, at my last job, when we moved our lifts around, where they couldn't be driven, we carried from underneath. We have carried them from the top like you did but, for the most part, we carried directly under their frame. Glad you got it home without any issues. Biggest reason forklifts are propane, is mainly due to the fact they burn cleaner and add the fact, they're a bit more tolerable indoors. Congrats on the "new" to you forklift. You guys have way too much fun, lol. Great video as always, cheers :)

Don't let a safety guy hear you call it a ROPS. It's an overhead guard😂 You need 42" forks for bad operators with bagged goods. Does it have two carbs? Sometimes rental units have a propane mixer upstream of the gas carburetor.
