I've seen a few review vids on this keyboard. So far the reviewers agree that they like the feel and the sound of it. It has a pretty cool retro look to it also. Seems like a nice keyboard for the price. Considering getting something like this for the front room. Thanks for your review.

I am thinking of getting this as our first piano, to go in living room. Question is, if I had headphones on, can I connect piano to an iPad to use a learning app like 'Simply piano' and hear the sound from iPad at same time?

I don't have any experience with that app and I would contact Donner's support team with that question. That being said, it might be as easy as connecting the USB cable from the piano to your iPad via the camera adapter, but they will know for sure.

The usb connection works very well with Simply Piano, but I haven’t tried it with headphones. I wanted to try it before writing this comment but all I have are 3.5mm Jack earphones and it requires the 6.5mm jack.

Just got mine today. And I noticed when I play the keys there is a thump sound with the piano notes. Do you have that same thump sound while pressing the keys.

The keyboard has hammer action, but there is very little noise from that. I guess it could be considered a thump, but in my case it's very normal sounding.

I am thinking about getting this piano as a beginner. I keep reading that the keys (especially the black keys) are very heavy (more so than usual). This is literally the only thing that is preventing me from getting it. Im worried that it will eventually be detrimental due to finger fatigue. Thoughts on this? Thanks

It totally depends on your preference. The action is on the heavy side, but it's not unreasonable in my opinion. If you're a beginner, you'll need to build strength/dexterity in your hands and fingers, so fingers fatigue will happen in the beginning regardless. But that's just my opinion. There are plenty of options out there these days, so choose what resonates with you!

I’m not sure if you’ve bought one yet, but I’ve read that they do a DDP-60, which is semi-weighted for beginners. It might help a little if you’re worried about the fatigue😊
