Driving to work on the number 1 in Burnaby. Guy comes over without checking the speed of the cars in the fast lane that I'm in. Then has to pump his brakes. I love commuting.

That was a close merge, but it somewhat appears that you played yourself (if you were speeding, but its hard to tell). If you were speeding, you would be in the wrong. The term "fast lane" doesn't mean that you can speed. The fast lane is simply a lane that usually doesn't slow due to people exiting or entering (throughway).

You should look up the definition of the left lane I think, but appreciate the feedback
@chrisfox67805 жыл бұрын
@@TaintonKelly in every state it says that its a through lane. In some parts, its considered a passing lane only when marked as "left lane passing only" or "slower traffic keep right." There is no lane in the United States that permits speeding, so "fast" does not imply speeding lane. Its fast simply because it usually doesn't slow down. Perhaps you need to look up your laws on left lane lol.

@@chrisfox6780 this also isn't the states.
@chrisfox67805 жыл бұрын
@@TaintonKelly that also doesn't matter since Canada regards the leftmost lane the same as the United States in that the purpose is to "pass traffic moving slower than the speed limit." Ergo, you're not allowed to or encouraged to speed because of the common phrase "fast lane."

@@chrisfox6780 Here you go buddy. From the government of BC website: If a driver is driving in the left lane at the posted speed limit and another vehicle approaches from behind, does the driver need to move out of the left lane? Yes. The rule requires the driver to move out of the left lane even if the driver is driving at the posted speed limit.
