Oh Leena! You spoke the words my soul is feeling. It’s the end of the school year and moms know what that means. Plus lots more yard work. Lately work has been sucking the life out of me- patients dying with terminal illness and their family doesn’t want to see it, patient who fell and laid on the floor for many hours, patients who cannot physically do for themselves…it goes on and on, combined with husband traveling and feeling like I’m so drained from work I have not enough left for my child…. My soul is just crying out for something you you helped me recognize that. You showed some really fun patterns and it was a glorious escape for me this afternoon ❤❤❤ Sending lots of love

Oh Kaetlyn. You’re a superhero through and through. You have every reason to feel overwhelmed and stressed. That is a lot for any one person to carry. I hope you can get some help or let some things slide. House and yard work will be there when you have more bandwidth!! Sending you a huge hug and so much love.

@@AnotherKnittingPod I know…letting things slide is just not how I’m made. I get like anxious when the house is a wreck etc. and I really shouldn’t let being a mom slide…probably not good 😂

At the risk of sounding like a complete fan girl, which I am, I can't tell you how much your podcasts fill my heart! It's like you know the exact thing I need to hear and your thoughts this week about being present and hurrying up to try to get some time to yourself I can relate to 100%. I've just never been able to put those thoughts into words which you did so wonderfully! I'm mama to two young boys and my husband is a wild land firefighter so his job ramps up significantly about now and my life becomes absolute bonkers. I really try to enjoy it all and be super mom but it is really hard not to feel overwhelmed and burn out on my life and feel resentful for not having even a smidge of time to do things for myself consistently, which really sucks because I absolutely love my life and my children. But I'm always trying for some semblance of balance and accepting the moments for what they are, as chaotic as they can be. Anyway, all this to say thank you truly for sharing so honestly and genuinely, on top of your knitting content. I'm all here for it!! 😊

Aw, this was the kindest note. Thank you! And I’m so glad you realize you’re not alone. I don’t think you even need to appreciate every moment or have gratitude. Just accept the craziness and that sometimes its pure chaos and sometimes there’s a sliver of beauty in there too. Sending you tons of love and so grateful for you being here 💚

Hello from California! Everything has already bloomed and its full on allergy season. A great excuse to stay inside and knit or spin. Oh my gosh the bonnet!!! That is soooo cute and the color is so happy! It’s so happy it would make everyone that sees you happy. It would look good on you too! Not sure my little round face would do it justice but man it is cool. I’m always a sucker for bows. Love the wonky stripe top too. Thanks for sharing some unique design inspiration. Love your Stephen West shawl it’s happy too. Can’t wait to see that finished. Have a creative day! Blessings

Thanks for putting the raverly contacts in your show notes. I don’t have my knitting mojo right now because I’m knitting a garter stitch jacket…boring. I’m going to cast on a summer top with a pattern design in it and that, I hope, puts me back on track. Your podcast today really helped me. Thanks!

Yay! I’m so glad to hear this! And that the show notes helped. I know I’m so bad about it 😬

So glad I’m not the only one who’s been in a making rut!! Sometimes I’m like “do I even like this anymore?!?” And I imagine getting rid of all my craft supplies and break out in cold sweats 😂 The olypme vest is 😍😍😍 I’m seeing it worked into a midi dress!!! Btw welcome to the spinning world! It’s amazing 🤩 I love my e-spinner bc I can stand & spin! I hate sitting too much! ❤🧶

Hi Leigh!! Ruts are inevitable! You definitely don’t need to get rid of your things…though sometimes purging and donating uninspiring yarn can be so freeing and revitalizing! I need to do that myself. Spinning is incredible. I never thought I could love it so much!!

The past week I feel like I’ve totally lost my mojo! I have so many things I’m excited about making and so much yarn that I adore, but I don’t have the fire inside me. It’s brought me down this week a bit if I’m being honest with myself. I have to say I have only listened to the first couple of sentences of this episode and I can’t express how timely it is for me so thank you in advance!! 😘😘😘

I love all the inspiration in this episode! I'm an older chick, but get described as fun and funky.....I'm starting to think I need to delve into lesser known designers...they seem to offer a bit more with some fun flair. No offense....but when i see a thumbnail pic of a podcast that features yet another version of a beige or grey sweater I pass on by (not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just starting to feel monotonous to me). I think I have a shawl pattern by Stephen West called Speckle and Pop...maybe I'll treat myself to some Hedgehog Fibres this year for that shawl 🥰
@AnotherKnittingPod6 ай бұрын
I agree Sandra! I get so bored with beige and grey. I understand they are neutral and easy to style therefore it is appealing, but I need the process of knitting to be joyful!

I have yarn for the Dust Bunny which is the shorter version. I got the same yarn she used in patterns ❤
