Hey my name's Jenna and I just got diagnosed with gastroparesis and I'm on a NJT and your videos have really helped me and my wife figure stuff out. I watch your videos religiously. Thanks for being you Kenna!

Hi! Welcome to the Gastroparesis family, not necessarily one you want to be a part of but you are not alone! I hope the NJ tube is treating you well and I am so happy I was able to provide help. You are too kind and I am wishing you so many good health days!

Sorry about your diagnosis. I have dysmotility issues throughout my digestive system, and I'm thankful that Kenna has created these videos as well as this supportive community on her channel. Hoping your doctors can find the best treatment options for you. My doctors have me on Mestinon to manage my issues much better, but there are quite a few different options out there and new treatment options being researched all the time.

Sorry you're not feeling well. Hoping you're able to stay out of the heat and humidity, as that can mess up hydration and can aggravate symptoms.

I think I was too haha which I was not used to because I usually don’t get it! I totally get that excitement after being able to eat something but then having to pay the price but sometimes it is worth it for that little bit of normalcy. The little things are truly the big things!

Can you do a “what I eat in a week” or “safe foods/recipes” video? I know everyone’s gp is so different but I feel like it would be so helpful to so many people!

Just got my GJ tube in a couple days ago on my birthday and have been anxiously waiting in recovery for your new video to get me through the pain! Oh! Also showed your videos to my doctor and he's so excited about what you're doing and wants to share your videos with his other patients! To show them that there are other people that live with gastroparesis that still do fun amazing things like you. Can't wait for next weeks! Good luck with your new house and decorate to your hearts content! You've got people rooting for you in Philly!

I hope the surgery and recovery is going well! I know it is so rough at the beginning but it really does get better! Oh my goodness you are the sweetest for sharing that seriously means so much to me! In my videos I truly want to show that you can still do fun amazing things with this illness. It might look different than your original plans but that doesn’t mean it can’t be equally as fun and amazing. I truly truly appreciate you sharing. Thank you so so much and I am just so thankful for everyone’s support💕💕

Sorry you are not feeling well! Gastroparesis is so hard. My weight is at the point where my doctors have started talking about a feeding tube. It is so frustrating trying to stay at a healthy weight and hydrated with all the symptoms. The abdominal pressure is awful sometimes.
@KennaKrueger3 жыл бұрын
Gastroparesis really is so so hard. I am sorry you are at this point. It is so frustrating because you fight so hard and fight through the symptoms and deal with the pain but it still isn’t enough. It’s important to take a step back sometimes and recognize yourself for fighting so hard. Dealing with pain every single day is exhausting. I know a feeding tube sucks and should be a last resort but if you truly need it don’t feel like it means that you are giving up because you aren’t! If there is something out there that will help you fight and make your symptoms better don’t be afraid to try it! I am wishing you so many good health days and hope everything turns out okay for you!

Can you not put any fluids down your tube? Boil and let it cool even if like 10-20mls every hour working out to 250-500 mls extra I know not a lot but everything adds up
@KennaKrueger3 жыл бұрын
I’ll have to start trying to do that. Right now I have been struggling with tolerating my feed rate and flushes often increase the nausea and discomfort so I only did them as needed but I’ll have to start trying with smaller amounts because like you said it adds up!

I just wanted to let you know that I always look forward to Sundays to watch your videos (I'm in Europe so it gets published like Saturday evenings here so I always watch your video Sunday morning). It's definitely the highlight of my Sunday mornings!!! I always feel the same way about being productive. I'm trying something new which you might like. Instead of having a to do list everyday/week I've been doing a ta dah list. So I wrote down everything I have done instead. It really helps me to see all the things I do, even the small things and I realise I'm not being "lazy" like I think I am
@KennaKrueger3 жыл бұрын
Aww comments like these make me so happy thank you so so much!! And omg I love that “ta dah” list that is such a cute idea. I am doing something similar now in my journal where I write down all the exciting things that happened during my day no matter how small and it makes me appreciate the day and what I have done so much more. It is so easy to feel “lazy” (even though we are not because our body needs rest and functions differently than most!) but when you write it all down you realize how much you were able to accomplish and enjoy throughout the day!

I hope that by the time you read this, you are feeling much better. Moving takes a lot of energy and sometimes can be stressful, but you are really getting a lot done, yay! Embroidery is definitely looking good, and crochet is easier than embroidery, I think, lol! Jewelry...don't have a clue how to do that, but I'm sure you will gett that done too ;) I'm so proud of you, I just love you and pray for your healing. Take good care of yourself ! ❤🌻🙏

Thank you so much! I’m a little better but as you said packing and moving takes a lot of energy out and our moving date got changed so that caused a bit of stress but things are starting to work themselves out! And I feel like so far crochet is easier as well because once I learned how to do the specific stitches, the more I did it the easier it became! Thank you so much for your kind words your support means the world to me!💚

Hey former jewelry maker here! You should try using headpins for your mushroom earrings. They way they work is theres a little flat part on the end that keeps the bead from sliding off, then you use your pliers and coil the other end around the top of the bead, like in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4WvXpeYo8imbJo. Then you can attach the looped part to the earring and you'll be able to see the mushroom!
