Just harvested our first planting of “Shelby’s”. The plants are vigorous and grew quickly but fruit set was slow. Mature fruit has good appearance with clean skins and average fruit size is 4.5 oz. We grow in Central Texas zone 8b so a slower fruit set isn’t as big a deal. I think we’re going back to BHN-768 and may try Picus this Fall. Hope you have better results.

Just a suggestion, get a water tank on a trailer , fill it and leave it in the field. This way don't have to bring the tractor back to the store everytime to fill up. Better efficiency., You can move it field to field as you plant vegetables in different fields.

😊that gives me such font memories of the 1800's homestead cattle barn with hay left up top such nice memories and the spaces between the boards for good airflow. That was intentional and any heavier bales put near the edges to completely dry. Yes those edges have to be well knitted so you dont fall! Stay safe and can you send me 10 up to Gillies, Ontario!

Hi Veggie boys you may already have discussed this and discarded the idea but why not tow a couple of 1000 litre ibc containers with 12v pump out to the field to refill the planter.

This is my first year planting Cubanelle peppers. I had to order some seeds after seeing how amazing yours look every year. My peppers are a little slow because we've had at least one frost or freeze warning every week up until last Thursday. Hopefully that's over. I got a sore back just watching you throwing all that straw down. Can't even imagine doing that with 740 bales all before breakfast! People have no idea that farmers do more work before lunch than most people do in a couple days. Also, saw on Instagram that Daniel got engaged, so a big congratulations to them both!
