Them Barn Owls really know all the ins’ and outs’ of all barns! What a thrill to see the pair! Thanks for sharing your travels around Oklahoma! I was at Fort Sill for a few years constructing with the Army Core. Learned to really like young buffalo steaks 🥩 always loved pumping windmills! God Bless! And thanks again!

Hmmm I need to find me some buffalo steaks I guess!!!!! Yep we loved seeing the barn owls too. We don’t get to see inside too many barns like that. Was very cool!!!!! Thank you for watching and I’m glad you’re along for the ride around this great state with us!

I like the short beard Shane ! I had to build an offset pump pole once for a mill that was off center. The barn reminds me of my grandpa's barn(destroyed in the May 3rd tornado). Great video guys!
@OkieWindmiller2 ай бұрын
Thank you Michael! Hey that’s a good idea! This one actually wasn’t too bad once it was put together. The top of the casing actually slanted slightly to the north, I think by design, so that the stand pipe would point toward the motor. They thought of everything back then! The barns were amazing and I remember that picture of your grandpas barn. Sooo cool!

You should get one of those "bumper dumper" toilet things. it's a toilet seat that goes in your trailer hitch receiver. She might not use it but it would probably be fun to harass her about anyways. 🤣 I love your videos... the windmills, the barns, all the wide open spaces, and your interaction with each other.

You look great! A real man is not defined by the growth on his face, but the wisdom from his heart. What a great example of humanitarianism we get to see from each of your videos. Keep doing what makes you feel full and solid in your life. If anyone has an issue with that, it is a hole in their life, it is an issue they need to fill in. 8.6 thousand of us are here to enjoy watching you live your dream. Keep up the great content!

Lol... I love watching you two work, especially the banter between you two. Every video brings a smile to my face and there's always a good laugh along the way somewhere. The "tiny tank" remark will be something I will use in the future. I'm sure it will get many smirks from the ladies in my life. I will chuckle every time I think about it. I've been through bison a few times in my career building gas stations. We built many around that region. Thanks again for the wonderful time spent watching you two work. You are an amazing example of a beautiful marriage .

At the 2:23 mark you were trying to describe "leverage" I think. The way they had that mast pipe mounted with the base of the pipe at the tip top of the angle iron created a very unstable situation. They created a huge "moment arm" that gave all that weight of the windmill head extra "leverage" on that mount. You live and breathe these concepts every day so I know good and well you know them, you just don't have to describe them every day except in your head - I do the same thing all the time! I must say it's refreshing to see Lori working with you and the amount of knowledge she displays about how to do all these jobs is on display every time we see her ready with your next tool. Curious to understand if you would rebuild something like that windmill you took off and save it in inventory for some future use or use it for parts or what? Thanks for sharing!
@OkieWindmiller2 ай бұрын
That’s the explanation I was searching for!!!!!! She is amazing isn’t she! I could totally rebuild something like this, but I have a stack of them at home, so its not cost effective for me to buy it from the customer, although some people may just give them to me. I don’t put enough markup on anything to allow us to take a couple hundred dollars off the bill for something that is most likely gonna lay in the pile of other cast iron. Thank you for watching and commenting!!!!!!!!!!!!

It might just be me but on the put upper portion, from where you put us, looks to me like the tower curves toward the truck. And could the top portion of well pipe be loose and leaning over (due to the cows)?

It had to be the way it was looking with the camera. It was pretty plumb for its age(and cows). The casing was super solid.

Not the stuff we removed. I mean, it could be, but I hate taking stuff from a place just in case the owners want to use it for something. It could all be rebuilt for sure. I guess I should start asking because you never know when you might need a part………

I love to watch y'all but the time laps I do not like . Would rather see clips.
@OkieWindmiller2 ай бұрын
Ok, sorry, I agree, but sometimes the normal clips aren’t easy to do or right for the work we’re doing. The reason for this one is we were trying to beat the rain, and figured time lapse footage was better than no footage. We also hear it both ways too, some people prefer time lapse, and others don’t. I do prefer to be able to take our time and do it in educational clips, like you’re talking about.
