0:32 - Canned peas dont need to be cooked. Its enough to warm them up a little. 0:56 - The reason you have trouble with cutting that meat is not your fault. Your way of cutting looks good enough, it is the knife you are using that is dull as a hammer. Don't use serrated knifes for meat. Use some ordinary straight knife and give it a light sanding with a 3.000 grain wetstone and some polish with a 16.000 polish paste and a leather stripe (put the paste on the leather stripe and swipe the edge of the knive up and down the stripe a few times untill the edge becomes shiny). No need to go too fancy there with non-fancy-knifes. You will be suprised by the outcome :) 2:04 - Personal Advice: Put the Peas (from the freshly opened can) into the Pan where you fryed the meat to warm them up. Then get them out and add them to the plate. Add some of the Potatoe-Water to the Pan and add some roux, give it a gentle heating to thicken the sauce (carefully add roux as needet). Also: Bacon. After you fryed the meat, fry some dices of bacon. Bacon is never wrong and goes with everything :D
