I think what the “comp” players fail to realize is if you don’t have SBMM in rec you are taking away a place for casuals to play and not replacing it. Aye, Rease the problem with skilled based matchmaking is the IQ level. The plate glitches once you hit silver. I play with randoms in the theater, park, and rec. It's impossible for me to find a team of intelligent hoopers. Most players are selfish and only trying to score. They all want to be the guy. This is the era of no morals or pride. No way could I willing deface myself or anything I stand for and respect in life for a win in a video game I paid for. It's for entertainment. There used to be a time when the majority of people who play a multiplayer game have an understanding of the game mechanics, and the confidence in their abilities. Not anymore, there isn't an access wall. I have said this multiple times in the past, there should be a survey to determine playing style, preferences in position according to team roles so that matchmaking can fill the categories that teams need. I made a 6'7" 2way 3lvl shot Sf. Why do I have to play with 2 PGs who don't pass, play defense or make shots against Pf and C with 90+ str and reb? I can shoot, dribble, pass, and play defense so why can't I find teammates with skilled based matchmaking???

I just want to be able to hit open shots. I shoot 38% from three as a guard and I shot 55 last year. Nobody wants wide open jumpers to be slightly early or late 60% of the time. And rhythm shooting is IMPOSSIBLE as a guard. Imagine trying to do a combo and then have to do 2 inputs for your jumper on a game that is delayed by like half a second.

I’ve played a few NBA games to level up, played 5 games in the Theatre and played 1 Rec game. My 2nd Rec game teamed me up with all gold and 1 red player,99 OVA but I’m bronze and 89 OVA. Why is it putting me with a bunch of 99 OVA Gold and Red players if SBMM is a thing? I had a 30 point, 20 rebounds 20 AST game for my 1st Rec game.
