Haben you are doing so much for the visually impaired and blind community. I hope that civil engineers build more tactile devices such as this into our infrastructure. We need empathetically designed cities!!!!!!!

@@Vegancutie Thank you! Since posting this video I’ve heard from blind people who plan to ask their cities to install accessible pedestrian signals. I’m hopeful we’ll have safer crosswalks in more cities around the world soon!

Brilliant, I am glad they are providing explicit instructions on how to cross the street, it's genius and whoever thought of this should be very proud of themselves.

@@MattSiegel Yes! It’s a great design with adaptability! Someone pointed out that making a map for each crosswalk is time-intensive work. Pedestrians’ safety is worth it.

We have those boxes in Austria, too. Didn't know they also vibrate! I've never touched those, since I find it really annoying that everyone pushes that button, thinking it will switch the traffic lights sooner. But I'm curious if ours also vibrate. When I'm alone at an intersection, maybe I'll check^^

@@_mortiam Does it vibrate? In Sweden there were a variety of styles, and some of them did not have the vibrating star.
