Perhaps, whizz is American. However, I love it for having an effect similar to words like buzz, fuzz...

Hi, I'm a whizz in creating problems on my arse with different useless things. For example, today I spent my evening making an apple wine just for (doubtful, or who knows?) fun instead of learning English😁 I whizzed around buckets with apples and a squeezer at nice music hoping for a miracle that it turns out good in the end. Hi, Mark and everybody. As usual I throw my two cents, guessing about the origin of the word. Whizz might occur after the flies or similar insects, whizzing by the ear. They make that exact sound.
