It was the best way to pull together all of the Bay City families (past and present) back together at the same time. Kathleen came out of hiding to check on Jake while he was in his coma (as we didn't yet know who shot Jake). Carl had been married to Donna. Jamie had been married to Vicky and was dating Marley. Jamie dated Stacey in the past. Carl was the reason Kathleen was paralyzed for a period in 1985 and had pinned the blame on Cass. Jamie and Frankie are cousins, and Carl had tormented the Corys during his original run in Bay City. Kathleen had been an investigative reporter for Cory Publishing, and got to the truth of what Reginald Love had done to her mother, Mary. Cass was still legally married to Kathleen, and Felicia and Cass were BFFs. Kathleen's return and calling out Carl on TV really was the best way you could kick off that storyline into high gear.

I would sincerely love to applaud Dean for telling Jake off and slamming the door in his face. Jake rightfully deserves to get what's coming to him. Jake needs to know that he is an idiot.

I don't believe this ! Can somebody tell me why "The Kathleen show" had to take place at Frankie and Cass' house ? Shame on Cass for putting Frankie through that. Shame on Kathleen for acting as if it was her home and she had every right to be there. Shame on Felicia for not even suggesting they (or did she ? I was too mad to even watch the whole fiasco) did it their masquerade at her place.
