Loren Alred has a beautiful voice and she did this song proud and this will always be her song, no one ever take that away from her! Loren has gone on to join AGT and test her vocal prowess to see if she can win that, no idea if that is over or not. Now 4th Impact has brought more depth to their version with all the layering and all the little things added in that make this, for me, the best version of this song in existence and why I became a Dreamer, when I heard this song and then This Is Me, these ladies left me in total awe and as amazing as this is, I think that This Is Me is actually better, I have heard other dreamers echo this sentiment, But hey, we all have our #1 songs, you may like some other song from them more than either of these two songs, to each his or her own. Now I totally get that in sync feeling with the girls, I think that it has a lot to do with the fact the they are so tight, it's as though one can be talking and the other will finish the sentence, this is something you can see at the beginning of their Bang Bang appearance on X-Factor when Simon was asking them where they were from, both Irene and Almira said exactly the same thing at the same time in reply, this translates to their vocals for sure, they feed off of each other and the result is quite remarkable. I feel that both of these version are the best versions of this song that will ever be!

I really enjoy your unique way of covering. Loren was great and powerful. She was the original. So, much respect and admiration. 4th Impact…I mean..come on. The arrangement by Mylene, who is the sister on the far left who sang first, is masterful. The harmonies are so extraordinary in this song. 4th Impact once again made an original their song. Great reaction ACL. This is the best rendition of this song that I've heard anyone do. The vocal arrangement of this song was done by Mylene, who did an amazing job with this. Here's their names from left to right. MYLENE (2nd youngest): She's the vocal arranger of the group. She sings the low to high notes and have a very powerful voice. She's the comedian of the group. Very funny girl. ALMIRA (oldest): She's the leader and belter of the group. She sings the very high notes and can do the whistle note. IRENE (2nd oldest): She's the swagger and choreographer of the group. She sings the low to high notes and is a very good dancer. CELINA (youngest): She's the rapper of the group and sings the medium to high notes. She also can do the whistle note as well.

Mylene, the second youngest and opening singer, stated that this song was her biggest challenge to arrange. She had been trying for days and days with no success. She was discouraged, tired, and uninspired. She went to bed thinking she was beaten and contemplating giving up. She said that, that very night this entire arrangement came to her as she slept, in a dream!! She has no formal training in music or musical theory and she doesn't even read music, but is often referred to as a musical genius for her arrangements. When asked how she does it she said that she could hear her sisters voices in her head and just knew where they should go. Her sisters call her Boss even though she is the comedian of the group, and she has been known to make her sisters "try out" for parts of songs they wanted to sing!!!

When they were putting together PART OF YOUR WORLD, Irene stated that there almost wasn't a part for her in the song because Mylene couldn't fit her in, but Mylene finally found Irene the perfect spots in the song. It still amazes me how Myelen can take any piece of music and make it work for the group, some people just have the gift, apparently Mylene is one of the gifted.

It is often said that when 4th Impact does a cover it is better than the original. Of course it is an advantage for the sisters because it's often 4 against 1. Give Mylene a lot of credit because she has years of experience doing the arrangements for her sisters so that each part is assigned by her to give the greatest impact. Absolutely gorgeous cover by the sisters performed in a studio on the same day they recorded 3 songs. Totally unfair comparison. You wouldn't place a professional fighter in a match against four professional fighters of similar weight class and ability would you!?! Loren is an incredible singer but 4th Impact's version of this song is simply the best version i have ever heard, including the original!!! No disrespect intended to the original artist, but IMHO, the majority of the sisters covers are better than the originals. One singer, no matter how talented, against Four world class singers, with those incredible family "blood" harmonies, and a music genius arranging the vocals and constructing the harmonies, is simply not a fair fight. I really enjoyed this one!! Thank you!!!

I was thinking of requesting the sisters sing a Mother's Finest cover but am undecided which would best suit the sisters voices. Of course Baby Love and Mickey's Monkey came up, but do have any other suggestions??

Man, this is a hard call! I love both these choices. I think, but because of my brain explosions, cant verify, that Mickey' Monkey which has a decidedly more Disco and Dance feel was probably more radio friendly. However, between the two, my favorite is Baby Love. Not just for the synth parts, which are outstanding, but the pure funk of it is awesome. As to what to suggest other than these two, I'm going to get out my wax (records) and see what I liked best. If you are going to suggest the sisters do a cover for you, let me suggest you don't go too deep in suggestions. Being mainly an unknown band except for the radio and GA, not many know who they are. I would stick with the well-known songs, but that's my opinion. Thanks again.
